    Differences in Modes

There are several different modes in Ultimate Team™ to test your skills in, ranging in competitiveness depending on your skill level! These modes include:

    FUT Moments

New to FIFA 23, FUT Moments has us re-live and re-execute exciting moments in football history! There are several levels of execution, and the higher the level of execution, the more rewards we earn! You can earn a new in-game currency called Stars, and you are able to use those towards unique rewards that you can use to expand your Ultimate Team!

    Squad Battles

This is an offline game mode where you play against the Computer (or AI) at a variety of different levels. There are often objectives that require you to play a certain number of games to achieve certain goals in order to earn different items or rewards. Squad Battles is a great game mode for beginners learning the mechanics of the game, or experienced players looking to practise some new skills and earn some cool FUT rewards to bolster their squads!

    Division Rivals

Although similar to Squad Battles in some ways, this game mode differs as it is online. Instead of playing against the computer, you’re using the internet to match up against other FIFA 23 FUT players. You start in Division 10, and the goal is to work your way all the way up to Elite (if you can) while hitting checkpoints along the way. Through playing Division Rivals, you’ll earn FUT Champions Points (which we’ll discuss later) and earn points towards weekly rewards. In my opinion, Division Rivals is the best way to practise your skills and test new teams/items to optimise your squad.

    Drafts

There are two types of Drafts: offline and online. Both options are a super fun way to get creative and try new items or formations that you might not have had the opportunity to try before. Similar to a real-life draft, you get to choose your favourite player from a handful of players in each position to add to your team, while trying to achieve the best possible chemistry and rating. You may redeem a draft token, or use 15,000 coins to enter a draft. Both drafts give you great rewards, and the further you get in the draft, the better the rewards you earn!

    FUT Friendlies

FUT Friendlies is probably the most exciting game mode and one of my favourite modes in the game! You can play friendlies against your friends, or other people online. There are a bunch of different objectives that can be completed in the FUT Friendlies mode with different, unconventional rules (i.e. silver stars - where you may only use a silver team to achieve a special silver player item, or golden-goal where the game ends after the first goal is scored).

However, one of my favourite components of FUT Friendlies are the unorthodox game styles that add a little fun and flair to a classic game. For example, King of the Hill - where you battle for possession inside a control zone to boost the amount of points your next goal is worth. Or, No Rules - where no rules apply! All fouls, pens, and everything goes! Even Survival Mode - where a player from the scoring team will be ejected every time a goal is scored.

    Weekly Rewards

We all love rewards and items to add to our Ultimate Team! Playing Division Rivals, Squad Battles (and even FUT Champions) will allow us to earn rewards on a weekly basis. The higher rank you achieve, the better your rewards will be!
