So you guys are alerted when we drop additional videos. Let's get right on into it. We got a lot to cover. If you're new to the Ultimate team game mode, this video is definitely going to be catered toward you. We're going to talk about a lot of the basic features that you need to know to build your team. If you're a more experienced player, you might want to skip this video.

MUT 24 Item sets

So we're going to start out with item sets. Now, earlier we talked about the live events tab and the catalog, and this is a way that you can get to item sets for a specific field pass, but in this video, let's focus more on the marketplace tab and starting with item sets. Why would you want to complete these? Right, so for the most part, these are used to get or obtain brand new player items and in some cases they have packs that you can earn that feature those player items from a new promo we launched with the headliners promo, which features a handful of 87 overall champions, and this is a part one release.

So more of these will be happening and if you take a look in item sets, there's also headliners packs where you can trade certain items and a lot of time you're taking lower overall items to put them into a set to build higher overall items. So you can upgrade in a sense, right, if you have a bunch of gold items to build lower overall elites and then take those lower overall elites and get higher overall elites. So with the champion specifically from the headliners promo, if we go into the item set, you're going to see that it requires any 5 84 to 85 overall items. If you put any five players at that overall into this set in return, you would receive an 87 overall headliners Kenny Pickett, and it's going to be the same for any of the champions from this promo. So we have an 87 overall Kamren Curl.

One big difference from prior years to this year starting out at least is that normally if you had a headliners promo to complete a headliners set you would need headliners items only. This year you can put any 84 to 85 overall items in this set to get the 87 headliners Kam Curl in return. Now also in previous years you would get something back in return as a B and D this year it's not like that. So if you were to complete this set and we're going to do it in a moment in return for your 5 84 to 85 overall items, you would get the 180 7 overall Kam Curl. In MUT 23. They also changed the way you can complete a set which requires less button pressing and they kept that in MU 24, which is definitely a good thing if you want to redeem a set and make sure that you're not putting the incorrect items in here, but if you hit square on PlayStation or X on Xbox, it's going to pop up a screen that says Are you ready to redeem the set?

It will list all of the items that you are going to be putting in here. Always pay attention to this so you don't accidentally put something that you wanted to keep or maybe you needed for another set or you wanted to put on your roster. Always pay attention to that because once you do this, once you complete this, it's over. So if you're redeemed this set and put those 5 84 overalls again in return, we're going to get this 87 overall Kam Curl. So one of the biggest questions that you might have is why would I want to do this? Well, essentially you're upgrading your team, right? You're taking lower overall items to build a higher overall item, and then a lot of times these are going to be four new promos or new programs. We're at launch here we have headliners, which is the first big promo of the year, and throughout the duration we're going to see plenty more.

Now if you don't have the items to complete a certain set, there's always going to be opportunity to maybe earn a couple of them via field passes for free, but in most cases you're going to have to buy those items off of the auction house. So for example, if we wanted to complete this 82 to 83 overall, excuse me, 84 to 85 overall elite Player Pack, we would have to put in 4 82 to 80 threes. Now it's always going to be your decision if it's worth it or not. If you're going after a certain player, you might want to do so if not, it might not be worth it. But if you don't have the items and you're in the set, all you have to do is simply press X on PlayStation A on Xbox and it will search the auction house for those specific items that you might need to complete the set and it actually takes you to the catalog, which is going to show you all 83 overall or 82 and 83 overall items within the entire game.

So if you wanted to put a Dak Prescott into that set, you can go ahead and select it and now you have a pointer that says, let's go to the auction house to find this so you can go out and buy it. Now it's early in the game, so this card isn't on the auction house currently, which means we can't go out and buy it, but those are the steps that you would want to take to search for a specific item that you need for a specific set.

Find an item in MUT 24 auction house

You can also get to the auction house from the Marketplace tab. It's known as the Auction hub on this screen, and once you select it, it's going to show you a couple different options, but most commonly you're going to go to auction house because you want to search for something. You do have a way to track the items that you've purchased and that you've sold between my auctions and my bids.

But let's go over to auction House. Also, very important to note, right, we're on the auction house tab. We can easily get to catalog by hitting R one or right bumper on Xbox, and if we go the opposite way, we go back to the auction house, we can go to sets where we were earlier, and then you can go to my items, which is your binder, everything that you own when you're in the auction house tab, you have all types of filters that'll be found over to the left. You can search by name, you can search by type, which is usually going to be a position that you might be looking for. So if you want a quarterback, you could select that filter. You have quality filters that go by tiers or overalls, and you can narrow down your searches as much as you want.

You can sort by team of course if you're looking for players from your favorite team and also programs. Here are some of the programs that we have at launch right now.

List an item in MUT 24 auction house

If you ever wanted to list an item on the auction house for sale, so you can exchange it for coins if somebody else wants to purchase it, the best route is to go to my items, find the item within your binder that you want to sell. So let's go ahead and list this Kam Curl. We're going to go down to auction this item, and now you have a few features that you can play around with. So the duration is going to be between one hour, eight hours, 12 hours or one day, and if nobody purchases that item, one of those durations expires, the item will come back to you and put it in your binder.

As a veteran of ultimate team, I usually list items for one hour unless we're trying to sell it maybe overnight. Then you want to put the duration up to 12 hours or one day. Your starting price should always be the minimum that you're willing to sell this for. You also might notice the current price range shows a minimum of a hundred coins and a maximum of 2 million. These will adjust as EA collects more data on each individual item. And a lot of times you can see recent sales on specific items so you can get a general idea of what people are selling it for. You can always look this up as well on the auction house to see what current prices are on it, if you want to list it for a similar price or slightly under what the lowest one is so yours can sell.

Next. I always go to enter manual price, which is going to be square on PlayStation and X on Xbox, and just for demonstration purposes, I'm going to put 777,000 coins. I don't think it'll sell for that much nor should it, but you can see it then populates the buy it now price. So this is the price that somebody could say, Hey, I want to spend 780,000 coins on it right now. They could pick that. You can always use your D pad to either go left or right to lower that number or make it higher depending on what you want to list it for, and then you would simply go down to post. It'll ask for confirmation if you want to post it. Of course you're going to say yes, but pay attention to the number that you're listing it for because you just simply don't want to make any mistakes.

Now you can see we're in the My Items tab. If I go over to auction house, and again, it's very early stages of the game, so the only item that's on the auction house right now is the one that I just listed. You can see that the Kam Curl is there. So if somebody else loaded up the game and searched for Kam Curl or just went to the auction house, they may see this item and if they wanted to purchase it, they would go ahead and select it because it's mine, it's only going to give me the option to cancel. So we're going to go ahead and remove it from the auction house, but that's where you would go ahead and purchase an item.

Solo challenges and Star System

Next we're going to talk about the solo challenges and Star system, but before we do that, what I would recommend doing is pressing the start button on your controller.

That's going to pull up your game options. There's a feature or a setting that I always recommend equipping, and that's going to be default star difficulty. So I always turn this to on some solo challenges have a higher star difficulty than others, but if you want to maximize the best rewards, you're always going to have to play those solos on the highest difficulty and that's why we just turn the default star difficulty on. If you're not comfortable with that, that's fine, you don't have to, but if you want to maximize the best rewards, this would be my recommendation. Now that our default star difficulty is turned on, we're going to go into challenges, which will usually be on your play screen and at launch we have the headliners promo, which is going to feature headliners solo challenges. A lot of times the milestone rewards are going to dictate what rewards you get by beating these solo challenges.

And if we scroll down a little bit further here, you can see that you'll earn various XP within this field pass and you can get some player items. In this case, an 80 tier eight is going to give you an 84 overall b and D headliners hero. So the reason you will want to play on the highest star difficulty is to achieve all of these rewards quicker. And if you go into a solo for example, you can see that these are five star solos, but if you select them and use your D pad, you can play them on a lower star difficulty. The only problem here is that you're not going to be able to maximize your rewards. It is also worth noting that to max out all five stars on this solo, you would have to score a touchdown on your drive. You'd have to gain 20 plus yards and four plays and not get sacked, and you'd have to do that all on the same try.

You can't play the solo three different times in the first time, get a touchdown the second time, gain 20 yards and the third time not get sacked. All of these requirements have to be on the same try. If we go back to those milestone rewards, you'll probably notice that a lot of the rewards we're giving you headliners xp. That's going to be for specific field pass rewards, and in this case the headliners field Pass. To get to any field pass in the game, you're going to go to your live events tab, and if you hit L two on PlayStation or left trigger on Xbox, it's going to give you a dropdown menu where you can cycle through the various field passes. So let's talk about the headliners Field Pass because these rewards are going to coincide with the solo challenges we just showed you. Once the headliners Field Pass is selected, you can actually get over to item sets or the catalog or challenges and it will point you directly in the direction of just headliners content.

But let's go ahead and look at the Field Pass rewards by hitting triangle on PlayStation or Y on Xbox. And at the bottom of your screen you're going to see all of the rewards. So you need to earn XP to get these rewards. And the requirements are things that you need to do to earn that. XP usually will be found in the objectives tab, which is towards your upper left of the screen. And as you can see these kind of mirror what we just showed you in the challenges where you need to earn stars in the solos to get xp. So if I use my ded to get over here, you can see that earning 15 plus stars or 30 plus stars or 60 plus stars was giving me XP within this field pass. To earn those rewards, there will usually be additional objectives. For example, passing for so many yards with a headliners player in your lineup is going to be one of them.

We have completing sets. Remember we completed that Kam Curl set earlier in the video that counted towards one, and we earned some XP for doing that. There's house rules which we'll discuss in a moment. There's solo battles and head to head games, which will also usually earn you XP by knocking out these specific objectives. And if we go back to the rewards tab, every time that you earn xp, you're going to make your way down this list of rewards and you can always scroll through it with the dpad left or right. You're going to see various things like packs, coins, player items, collectibles, and sometimes even XP for other field passes like the season one Field pass, which is going to contain a ton of additional rewards. And to get to that or see any other field pass, again from the live events tab, we can cycle through there and you'll see when we go into the season one field pass and hit triangle on PlayStation or Y on Xbox, it's going to bring up an entirely new field pass full of different rewards and more objectives and things that you need to do or that you can do to earn XP to progress down that reward path and earn more free content.

So far, we focused on interactions playing against the computer. There's also going to be a lot of head-to-head events and house rules, which are limited time game modes with various and special rules that will allow you to earn more free content. So at launch we have the Breaking News House Rules event, and if you go into it, you can see that there's additional rewards that you can earn based off your battle score, and you earn battle score simply just by playing the game mode. If you win, you're going to earn more battle score. If you lose, you'll still get some battle score, but it won't be as much. But there's additional rewards within this house rule such as coins. There's Player Packs, you get an 84 overall headliners Hero fantasy pack. So it's just another way to earn free content, but this time playing against other users.

MUT 24 Head to Head Seasons

Another way to play online against other people and other people's mad and ultimate team is going to be head-to-head seasons. And if we go into the head-to-head section, you're going to have a few different options. So there's all mad in regular season, and that's just the difficulty that you play on, which is going to be a little bit more advanced. If you're a beginner, you may want to go into regular season. There's squad season, so you can pair up with two or three of your friends or you can just search in this game mode and they'll find teammates for you. There's also much champions, which is a game mode that coincides with the competitive field pass, which is not out yet, and we will have future videos discussing that. But these are all ways that you can jump online and play with your ultimate team to earn additional rewards.

Now, within Head-to-Head seasons, they have a rewards and divisions tab, which is going to, the rewards you earn are going to be dictated on what division you're in, and as you win more games, you will level up. You can see when you're on Rookie five wins will give you 11,000 coins versus if you're on Legend, five wins is going to give you 25,000 coins. So as you win more games, you will level up within your division and leveling up in your division is going to give you more free content. There's also a tab in the upper right if you hit R two on PlayStation or right trigger on Xbox to where you can see what you need to do to avoid demotion. There's various pack rewards, so if you're on the pro level and you get at least three wins, you're going to earn a midfield pack, which will contain items for your ultimate team.

And then also you're going to get a coin amount per win or per loss. Usually winning five games in whatever division you're in before losing three, we'll put you into the playoffs and if you can win your playoff games, you can actually make it to a Super Bowl and winning playoff games and Super Bowls will give you more free rewards in the form of pakcs and coins. So in other words, the more you win, the better rewards you get. And that's going to wrap it up for this video, a basic tutorial of a bunch of things that you can do in Madden Ultimate team. If you guys got any questions, leave it down below in the comment section and we got more of these basic or essential features of Madden ultimate team videos on the way. So stay tuned. Thank you for watching this one. My name is Popular Stranger and I'm out. Peace.
