5 Steps to Get Set Up for Mass Effect: Andromeda
Attention Ryder,
Now that you have emerged from cryosleep, we recommend checking your clearances and your equipment before embarking on adventures in the Heleus cluster.
We’ve put together this short guide to help get you ready to play Mass Effect™: Andromeda.
Check Your EA Account
Due to extended cryosleep protocols, we recommend you refresh your credentials.
- Double check that you can log in to your EA Account.
- Forgot your password? Reset it here.
- If you have enabled login verification on your account, check that you’re receiving your codes quickly by text or email.
- If you’re playing on PlayStation or Xbox One, check that your EA Account is linked to your PlayStation Network Online ID or your Gamertag.
- Forgot your password? Reset it here.
Check Your Computer
If playing on PC, your computer is mission-critical:
- Check that your PC can run Mass Effect: Andromeda
- Update your graphics drivers to the latest version:
- Check that you have enough free space to install the game
- We recommend 55 GB of free space for PC.
Redeem Your Code
Your game code is your ticket to the Andromeda galaxy. Make sure you’ve redeemed yours.
If you pre-ordered a physical copy of the game, check you’ve redeemed your pre-order code too.
Check Your Online Access
Want to lead a squad of friends in Multiplayer? If you’re on Xbox or PlayStation, you’ll need to get set up for online play:
- On Xbox One, you need to have Xbox LIVE Gold
- On PlayStation 4 or the PlayStation Pro, you need to have PlayStation Plus.
Pre-load
Make sure you can deploy quickly on launch day by pre-loading your game:
- Check the Mass Effect: Andromeda game tile in My Game Library in Origin to see when you can preload
- On Playstation 4 or PlayStation Pro, the game should pre-load for you automatically as soon as it’s available
- On Xbox One, check the Xbox Games Store to see when pre-load is available for you.
