With the Pittsburgh Penguins taking on the Toronto Maple Leafs this week, now is the perfect time to jump into EA SPORTS™ NHL® 19 and play the matchup before the game on October 18. With two offensive powerhouses possessing incredible depth at the center ice position, you won't want to miss out on the NHL 19 Game of the Week. Hit the ice and let the goal scoring begin.

    A Clean Slate

The Leafs won the season series against Pittsburgh last year, with a record of 2-1 against a team coming off back-to-back Stanley Cups. Toronto's addition of John Tavares gives them depth at the center ice position that will make it even tougher for Pittsburgh this year, however the Penguins also boast incredible ability up the middle with Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin. No matter who you side with in the Game of the Week, there will be plenty of goal-scoring.

    Key Players

    Sidney Crosby – 93 OVR

Captain of the Penguins and widely regarded as one of the best players ever, Sidney Crosby will have a chance to make the biggest impact in this group. Crosby's powerful passing rating of 95 lets him make plays that seem impossible, and 90 skating keeps him ahead of the competition.

    Evgeni Malkin – 91 OVR

With 933 career points, Evgeni Malkin is one of the game's premiere centerman, and to have him playing on the second line shows Pittsburgh has incredible depth up the middle of the ice. His passing, offensive awareness, and wrist shot accuracy stats of 94 make him a threat in the offensive zone at all times.

    John Tavares – 90 OVR

Joining the Leafs this past offseason, John Tavares provides a presence at center ice that will rival their opponents this week, and for the foreseeable future. His strong offensive stats mixed with defensive awareness and stick checking ratings of 90 makes him effective at all ends of the ice.

    Auston Matthews – 89 OVR

With 91 wrist shot accuracy and 90 passing ratings, Auston Matthews is a powerful option to have on the second line. While the youngest player of this group, he has an incredible knack for scoring goals, which will be crucial in the battle between the Penguins and Leafs.
