The HUT Christmas Gift of Giving Event

Unwrap some powerful player items as you get ready for Christmas.

'Tis the season to start collecting festive player items in Hockey Ultimate Team™ with the Christmas Gift of Giving Event. Running from November 30 to December 31, new content will be arriving each week, so you'll always have something to play for over the holidays. Get in game and stack your team with these powerful Christmas items. 

Christmas Sets

Designed specifically for this festive event, there will be unique Christmas Sets that feature powerful player items as a reward. We'll be opening the event with Nikita Kucherov and Marc-André Fleury Sets, along with a Mike Hoffman Set that can be completed with collectibles earned through Christmas Challenges.

Starting November 30, seven boosted Christmas player items will arrive in packs each week, with competitors whose jersey number coincides with each day of the month. Christmas Challenges

21 Daily Challenges will be available for those who wish to complete them, rewarding players with Candy Cane collectibles that can be used to complete the Mike Hoffman Sets mentioned above.

Four tiers of Christmas Challenges will be available to complete during this event, open to players who meet the required overall team rating. Divided by entry requirements of 75, 80, 85, and 90 OVR, these Challenges will reward you with Rasmus Ristolainen player items ranging from 80 to 86 OVR.

Event Objectives

The Event Objectives for the Christmas Gift of Giving Event will give you different in-game goals to work towards over the course of the month. The main focus will be completing Christmas Sets, and the more of these Sets you complete, the better the reward. Complete their requirements for rewards such as gold player items or untradeable Christmas collectibles.

Completing these Christmas Sets will also contribute to the Community Gift of Giving Present, which is detailed below.

Community Gift of Giving Present

As the HUT Christmas Gift of Giving Event progresses, we'll be tracking how many Sets the community completes. With the completion of 1,000,000 Christmas Sets, a surprise Community Gift of Giving Present will be given out to all those who completed a Christmas Set during the event.

One of the best ways to achieve this goal will be through the completion of Christmas Gold Common Re-Roll Sets. This Set will allow you to trade in three gold common items in exchange for an item that has a chance to be a gold rare item. You can complete this set three times a day, so it's a fantastic way to help the community reach the goal of 1,000,000 sets.

Competitive Seasons

Season 8 starts November 30, 2018 at 2:00 pm PT and will end on December 21, 2018 at 1:30 pm PT. This season will consist of three rounds, there are no entry requirements, and the reward is an 89 OVR Jonathan Toews Christmas player item.

Round 1: November 30, 2018 to December 6, 2018.
Round 2: December 7, 2018 to December 13, 2018.
Round 3: December 14, 2018 to December 20, 2018.
