NHL® 19 Ratings – Top 10 Legends

Powerful legends of the game arrive in NHL® 19, giving you the chance to play with or against the sport's greatest players. Available in multiple modes, including Hockey Ultimate Team™, these legends can change the course of any game with pure skill. In NHL 19, you'll be able to skate just like the legends thanks to RPM Technology, which means you can pull off nimble maneuvers and take control of the ice. See the ratings for the top 10 legends and prepare to have history at your fingertips.

#10. Teemu Selanne – 93
Known as “The Finnish Flash”, Teemu Selanne is the highest scoring Finn in NHL history, tallying 1,457 points that all started with a 76-goal rookie season. With a 93-Overall rating in NHL 19, Selanne is a stellar addition to any team in NHL 19.

#9. Peter Forsberg – 93
A two-time Stanley Cup champion and Hart Trophy winner in 2003 as league MVP, Peter Forsberg scored unbelievable goals and dominated the center ice position with the Colorado Avalanche. His skills in NHL 19 are top-notch, as he played with a perfect balance of strength and finesse, reflected in his overall rating of 93.

#8. Joe Sakic – 93
Leading the Colorado Avalanche to two Stanley Cups as their captain, Joe Sakic was a prolific offensive talent, possessing a wrist shot that's considered to be among the best of all-time. Sakic is one of the most exciting players to bring on the ice in NHL 19, with a 93-overall rating.

#7. Terry Sawchuk – 94
An all-time great backstop for five different teams, the Detroit Red Wings, Boston Bruins, Toronto Maple Leafs, Los Angeles Kings, and the New York Rangers, Terry Sawchuk won four Vezina Trophies and four Stanley Cups over the course of his career. He plays with a 94-Overall rating in NHL 19.

#6. Jacques Plante – 94
Jacques Plante was an innovator as one of the best goalies the game has ever seen, often playing outside of his crease and calling out plays to his teammates, while winning a total of six Stanley Cups. At 94-Overall, it's going to be very difficult to get pucks past Plante.

#5. Jean Beliveau – 94
Taking home a remarkable 10 Stanley Cups as a centerman for the Montreal Canadiens, Jean Beliveau notched an impressive total of 1,219 points while playing flawlessly from the middle of the ice. In NHL 19, he's one of the most reliable players on the offensive end, and can contribute elsewhere, too, thanks to a 94-Overall rating.

#4. Mark Messier – 94
15-time All-Star Mark Messier is the only player in league history to lead two different teams to Stanley Cup victories as their captain, highlighting his remarkable abilities in the playoffs – he’s second all-time in total playoff points. The six-time Cup winner plays with an Overall rating of 94, and can help lift any NHL 19 team to another level.

#3. Patrick Roy – 96
The only player in league history to win the Conn Smythe Award three times as playoff MVP, Patrick Roy won four Stanley Cups while racking up multiple league records as one of the greatest goalies ever. His overall rating of 96 is indication of just how transcendent he was between the pipes, and Roy's abilities are no different in NHL 19.

#2. Mario Lemieux – 96
Immensely talented with a big frame, Mario Lemieux led the league in scoring a total of six times, mastering the center ice position with the Pittsburgh Penguins. One of the most productive players of all-time, and an amazing dangler, sniper, and playmaker for his size, Lemieux gets a strong 96-Overall rating.

#1. Wayne Gretzky – 97
With 2,857 career points, Wayne Gretzky has nearly 1,000 more than any other player in the history of the game. The nine Hart trophies for Most Valuable Player awarded to Gretzky highlight his individual dominance, particularly the seven he won consecutively from 1980 to 1987. At 97-Overall, Gretzky is the greatest player in NHL 19.
