The All-new Penny’s Pursuit Update is Coming to Plants vs. Zombies™ 2

Plants vs. Zombies 2

Attention, Plants vs. Zombies™ 2 players! Crazy Dave has been kidnapped – and we need your help to find him! At first, we just assumed Crazy Dave was catching some extra-spicy waves at his seaside shack on Big Wave Beach. But, after extensive searching and a little sandcastle building, we consulted Penny (Dave’s time-traveling R.V.) and discovered the truth: he’s been taken hostage by Dr. Zomboss. Now it’s up to you and Penny to team up to find and defeat Zomboss in the all-new Penny’s Pursuit!

Penny’s Pursuit is our biggest single-player update to the game, and we’re so excited to bring it to life! In it, you’ll discover all-new levels, zombies, rewards, and ways to pump up your plantastic platoon. You’ll also take on Dr. Zomboss in challenging boss battles, so don’t forget to protect your tasty, tasty brains! Each limited-time Penny’s Pursuit event features unique levels, Penny Perks (more on that later!), and rewards. There are five levels available to play per week, with level and perk progress resetting each time a new event starts.

To unlock Penny’s Pursuit, you’ll need 15 individual plants in your collection. After that, you’ll play all-new levels to gain signal strength on your handy-dandy ZPS (Zomboss Positioning System), which does just what you’d think – helps you to track down Zomboss! Each time you play a level, you’ll use Penny Fuel. Fuel recharges over time, but you can use Gems to speed it up. You’ll also have the ability to change the difficulty of your level each time, with higher difficulty earning you more rewards.

With each level you beat, you’ll get closer to locating Dr. Zomboss. Once your ZPS meter reaches 100% signal strength, you can finally take him on in battle! Challenge Zomboss to a set of three battles once per day. Defeat him to earn plant seed packets to level up plants – and more! Plus, get closer to finding Penny’s BFF, Crazy Dave.

If you’ve already battled Zomboss for the day, he’ll take an inappropriately long lunch break (honestly, we’re pretty sure he’s just napping) until the next day when you can battle him again. While he’s “out for lunch,” you can continue collecting ZPS strength to max out your meter so you can dive into a Zomboss battle as soon as he gets back.

But, wait – there’s more! Complete bonus objectives to unlock powerful new abilities, called Penny Perks, which you can equip in levels. Each perk offers a unique boost to your gameplay and can be leveled up for even more power. Remember, Penny Perk progression resets after every event, so make sure to keep leveling up to take on greater challenges.

Plus, there are new zombies! A fresh batch of Roman zombies is roamin’ through your province and bathing in your aqueducts. Prepare to take on Gladiator Gargantuars, Lion Imps, and more. New zombies, levels, and challenges will continue to storm Penny’s Pursuit, so stay vigilant and keep those plants powered up! Oh, and remember to keep on the lookout for Crazy Dave. The plants are worried sick!
