Well, PvZ fans, summer is nearing its end (though we’re pretty sure it just started like a week ago, right?). Nevertheless, grab your scarf and a light sweater because the autumnal tide is turning, and with it comes the Fall Festival! This month we’re dropping a cornucopia of prizes into the Prize Map and welcoming some new playable characters to the full game. Plus, Battle Arena is returning to unranked. Stay tuned for details and some updates on where we’re headed as the last half of 2020 gusts on through.
This month, use your Prize Bulbs to rake your way through the Fall Festival Prize Map and score epic hats, Victory Slabs, Punchers, emojis, and more. Pick up awesome items as you go, like the Common Bluer Chewer costume for Chomper at the mid-way point, Legendary Crazy Colossus costume for Imp and Z-Mech at 100% completion, and the Legendary Impending Doom costume for Imp and Z-Mech when you take a single path to the end of the map.
Also happening in September, Ranked Battle Arena will shift away from seasons, returning to unranked. We’ve heard player feedback and want to make sure that Battle Arena is fun for the entire community. We think this will make the experience better for everyone.
Towards the end of the month, we’re introducing two new unbeleafable characters, Wildflower and TV Head Zombie. Previously only available in August’s weekly events, these two heck-raisers will be unlockable from Rux for Coins at the end of September. Use TV Heads in a group to overpower your plant opponents, or team up with other Wildflowers to form a group and weed out your zombie foes. Just try not to get struck by TV Head’s Rapid Fire Tape Ejector.
As the leaves start to change, September’s Fall Festival will be our last Festival and our final game and gameplay update will be at the end of the month. But, as we all know, the battle for brainz never really ends! With this in mind, each month, we’ll be bringing back our previous Festival, complete with Prize Map. Every Festival Prize Map that you weren’t able to complete will have your progress saved so you can continue right where you left off that month.
Did you have your eye on October’s Doom Rose customization but lost track of time constructing your homemade Peashooter costume? Or, what about when you were busy decking your halls and missed out on Engineer’s Legendary Inspiration Elf costume in December? Now’s your opportunity to complete Prize Maps that you weren’t able to finish to earn every sweet ensemble, Legendary Upgrade, Victory Slab, and emoji. Plus, you can always explore PvE free-roam regions to complete missions and earn unique customizations, delve into Private Play to personalize the game for you and your friends, and so much more.
That’s the news for now, Neighborville. We’ll see you out in Giddy Park! We still need to finish earning some Prize Map collectibles ourselves. For example, we got a little caught up hunting for eggs in April and we need that Common Hot Dog costume for 80s Action Hero. Our zombies-who-look-like-hot-dogs-and-vice-versa collection will never be complete without it.
