Chart a course for the Edge and join the next venue of the Rocket Championship Tour! Blast away in Blastbeard’s Tropical Paradise home region: Craters’ Edge from August 13- August 26.

Bring your sea legs and sunscreen to two new tropical maps: Grand Harbor and Lagoon of Doom. Activate clockwork sentries, rocketjump on water, and blast away to a new soundtrack. Celebrate in style with new tropical outfits, and try out new event playlists and game modes!

Blast some pineapple rocket-cannonballs courtesy of Ground Breaker Blastbeard, admire the sunsets as Island Izell, catch some waves with Watermelon Jubilee Amphora, and build a sandcastle as Summer Magic Mysteen.

All Blast in Paradise outfits come with a tropical Crater’s Edge character stand and a character customization screen background unique to the event.

Lagoon of Doom
LAGOON OF DOOM, home to bottomless waterfalls, is forever swathed in fog. They say that SEA SERPENTS ply its depths, ready to snag anyone foolhardy enough to cross the Lagoon. Surely, it’s nonsense -- but just in case, let’s stick to the beach, and avoid the water!

Grand Harbor
GRAND HARBOR is home to several noteworthy sights. Among them is a pair of wrecked PIRATE SHIPS, which settled in the shallow waters, positioned as they were during their final naval battle. There could be treasure stored below their decks, but there are definitely piles of unstable rockets down there. So stay clear!

Note: After the Event finishes, maps will stay in Matchmaking!

What to Expect at the Start of the Event:

• Beach Ball Added to Social Playlist - Blast away at a giant beach ball.

• Knockout Doubles in Paradise - The Knockout Playlist heads to Crater’s Edge for 2v2 Action
  • 2v2 Knockout on Grand Harbor and Lost Lagoon
• Bots in Paradise - Cooperative - The Rocketbot Attack on Crater’s Edge
  • 3 Player Cooperative vs Rocketbot AI on Grand Harbor and Lost Lagoon

Get the lay of the land before you hit the beach! Here are a few key features and landmarks to look out for on Crater’s Edge.

Jolly Boats!
Rocket-propelled boats slowly drift about Grand Harbor. Jolly Boats may be used for recovery, and landing on them can help you get around the Harbor.

Some Jolly Boats are even beached in Lagoon of Doom, but are still active!

Shoot the clockwork birds to activate their cannons to blast opposing players.

RocketJump on Water
Danger lurks in these waters!, avoid splashing into the drink and save yourself from a KO with a well-timed RocketJump.

Grand Harbor Soundtrack
An island-themed soundtrack written by Jack Wall accompanies the maps with new in-game music.

Bodum’s Grotto
A beachcomber’s favorite haunt, long rumored to be the last place Blastbeard was seen before losing his trophy.

Watch out for Splinters!
Wooden Jump pads to blast across the Harbour or from ship to ship.

The Venture
Its days must be numbered, it’s the last sea-worthy ship on Crater’s Edge. Find it loading rocket-cargo in Lagoon of Doom.

More to Come in Season 1!
While the tour leaves Crater’s Edge on August 26th, the fun doesn’t stop, both Lagoon of Doom and Grand Harbor will remain in matchmaking playlists, and be available in custom games. After Blast In Paradise, you can expect the following events in Season 1:

• Fort Rocket Mythic Event

Trophies and Achievements vs RocketBots!
We’ve had some fan requests to make trophies and achievements possible vs. Rocketbots - so we’re doing exactly that, starting in an update coming later this summer, you’ll be able to complete all trophies and achievements against Rocketbots either Solo or Cooperatively.
