Player Ratings Update: Week 4
See how performances from superstars like Tom Brady and Kyler Murray have affected their Madden Ratings.
Madden NFL 22
Teams with rookie quarterbacks showed up in Week 4; Zach Wilson and the Jets defeated the Titans in overtime, Justin Fields failed to throw a touchdown pass as his Bears defeated the Lions, and on Sunday night, Mac Jones and his Patriots put up a fight against Tom Brady, who eked out the victory because why would you expect anything else.
Epic runs, crazy catches, and incredible plays abounded all over the NFL during Week 4. And the Madden NFL 22 Ratings Performance Adjustor team is working hard to tweak, refine, and polish ratings across the league based on those IRL performances.

Let’s take a closer look at some key Ratings Updates as we ready up for Week 5.
Week 4: Who’s Up
Tom Brady | QB | Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The man is 44-years-old and for a limited time, he’s a 99 OVR in Madden NFL 22. Are you not entertained!?
Kyler Murray | QB | Arizona Cardinals
One of the most electric quarterbacks in the league, Kyler Murray is on fire to start the 2021 campaign. He’s already racked up 12 total touchdowns (nine passing, three rushing) and has over 1,200 pass yards through four games. As a result of his stellar play to start the year, the Madden Ratings Adjustor team is bumping Murray’s OVR up two full points to an 85 ahead of Week 5.
Cordarrelle Patterson | HB | Atlanta Falcons
Originally drafted into the NFL as a wide receiver, Cordarrelle Patterson has carved out an interesting role for himself as a running back in Atlanta. On Sunday, Patterson scored three receiving touchdowns on six targets (82 rec yards) and added 34 yards on the ground on six rushes. His vision and agility combined with his power make him a dangerous weapon out of the backfield and he constantly poses a matchup problem for opposing defenses. His rating is on the rise ahead of Week 5.
Week 4: Who’s Down
Baker Mayfield | QB | Cleveland Browns
We’re four games into the season, and Baker Mayfield has only thrown two touchdown passes. Granted he began the season without Odell Beckham Jr. (recovering from a knee injury) and now Jarvis Landry has been sidelined for a few weeks. But still, it’s a lackluster enough start to the 2021 campaign for Mayfield that the Ratings Adjustor team is bumping Baker down two full points to an 83 OVR ahead of Week 5.
Sony Michel | HB | Los Angeles Rams
Sony Michel has had a very Sony Michel start to the season. With a 3.7 yards per carry average on a total of 34 rush attempts through four games, Michel isn’t exactly the most efficient back in the NFL. We kind of knew that already. But when a running back is inefficient and loses a fumble on one of his three rush attempts, the Madden Ratings Adjustor team cannot turn a blind eye. So Michel’s rating is slipping ahead of Week 5.
