Player Ratings Update: Week 5
See how performances from superstars like Mike Williams and Allen Robinson have affected their Madden Ratings.
Madden NFL 22
NFL football returned to London, an impressive display of offensive might between the Browns and the Chargers, and two overtime thrillers (h/t to the Packers and Ravens for pulling off victories) summarize a few of the Week 5 storylines across the league.
Epic runs, crazy catches, and incredible plays abounded all over the NFL during Week 5. And the Madden NFL 22 Ratings Performance Adjustor team is working hard to tweak, refine, and polish ratings across the league based on those IRL performances.
As always, you can access the full Madden NFL 22 Player Ratings Database HERE to see all of this week’s Ratings Updates and more.
Let’s take a closer look at some key Ratings Updates as we ready up for Week 6.
Week 5: Who’s Up
Dawson Knox | TE | Buffalo Bills
The Bills tight end posted a season-high 117 yards and his fifth touchdown in the last four games on Sunday against the Chiefs. Dawson Knox has become a go-to target for Josh Allen in the Buffalo passing game and the Madden Ratings Adjustor team is bumping him a full +4 OVR points ahead of Week 6, making him an 81 OVR.
Joe Burrow | QB | Cincinnati Bengals
Second-year quarterback Joe Burrow led his Bengals into an overtime battle against the Packers on Sunday. Ultimately, Cincinnati suffered the loss, but Burrow threw for 281 yards and two touchdown passes in the game. The Madden Ratings Adjustor team is lifting Burrow’s OVR by two points ahead of Week 6, making him an 80 OVR.
Mike Williams | WR | Los Angeles Chargers
Mike Williams went nuclear on Sunday. He saw 16 targets, caught eight passes, and racked up 165 yards and two scores. Williams and Chargers’ QB Justin Herbert have a special connection, and it’s playing out in front of football fans on a weekly basis. Williams has six touchdowns on the season and the Madden Ratings Adjustor team is taking note, bumping his OVR +2, to an 85 OVR.
Week 5: Who’s Down
Zach Ertz | TE | Philadelphia Eagles
In a game where Zach Ertz saw six targets, he only managed to catch one for seven yards on Sunday. With the Eagles passing game struggling a bit, Ertz is not producing like the elite TE football fans are used to seeing. As a result, the Madden Ratings Adjustor team is lowering Ertz’s OVR by -2 points, dropping him to a 79 OVR ahead of Week 6.
Allen Robinson | WR | Chicago Bears
It’s been a tough season thus far for the Bears No. 1 wideout. Allen Robinson has just 181 yards and one touchdown on the season, and he’s coming off a game where he posted a meager 4-32-0 line. Not all of the accountability falls on Robinson as the Bears passing game goes through some growing pains, but the Madden Ratings Adjustor team is dropping A-Rob -2 OVR points to an 87 OVR ahead of Week 6.
