Kit Reveal: General Syndulla
UNIT NAME: General Syndulla
ALIGNMENT: Light Side
CATEGORIES: Leader, Support, Spectre
Key Attributes:
- New defensive buff, Perfect Defense - a stronger combination of Defense Up and Tenacity Up
- Inflicts Fracture on enemy until all other enemies take their turn
- Saves her teammates when they drop to certain health thresholds
Inspiration:
- General Syndulla plays a major role in helping Ahsoka Tano get to Peridea, and is a fan-favorite character, so we knew she had to make it into SWGOH the moment we saw her
- Her abilities all harken to the fact that she is still a Rebel-at-heart and willing to do anything for her friends. She’s Not Just Going to Sit Around and helps her allies by Pulling Rank and going on Unauthorized Missions. It’s good to be a General.
Strategy Tips:
- Using General Syndulla’s Special ability, I’m Not Just Going to Sit Around, target the priority enemy as defeating them will remove 100% Turn Meter from all enemies.
- She introduces a potent defensive buff, Perfect Defense with her first Special ability, Pulling Rank. Maintain Defense Up and Tenacity up to gain access to Perfect Defense.
FAQ:
- How do you acquire General Syndulla?
- Marquee event
- Is General Syndulla required for GL Ahsoka?
- Yes at Relic 5
- Is she a Leader?
- Of course. We recognize not every player will be able to get the Galactic Legend for Ahsoka Tano right away, so we wanted a home for the Spectre characters you have been collecting.
- Why not create a New Republic tag for her?
- If (when?) we make more New Republic characters, that tag makes sense to retroactively add to General Syndulla
- Anyone additionally getting the Spectre tag with her release?
- Chopper (who also played a role in the Ahsoka show), and Ahsoka Tano (Fulcrum) are both getting the Spectre tag. These are the last of the older characters getting this tag retroactively. With these added, players can field a full Spectre squad without GL Ahsoka or Ezra (Exile).
- Why does Zeb not get the Spectre tag?
- While definitely part of Hera’s original Spectre Rebel cell, Zeb’s status with her and the rest of the squad during this time period is unknown. Additionally Phoenix Zeb wasn’t someone we wanted to include in either her or Ahsoka Tano’s squad.
- Will I need to defeat her seven evil-exes in order to collect her?
- No, but that sounds like a great idea for an Assault Battle.
