Haradrim Month - Warriors of the South!
While the Haradrim may not be familiar to some, they played an interesting part in the story of the One Ring, albeit as allies of Sauron. The Haradrim are tall and bold people, marked with red, white and black body paint, and with sharp weapons and shields at the ready. They are skilled horsemen and have even tamed huge wild beasts to aid them in battle and warfare. The Haradrim are also skilled warriors and make for an impressive fighting force.
From a gameplay perspective, the Haradrim are all about working together as a fierce unit. With Tibeb at the lead, they share their passive abilities with each other, making the squad stronger and more fierce. Furthermore, they rely heavily on their Black Serpent Poison, which intercepts the next Boon placed upon the recipient and converts it into Poison. The Haradrim as a whole are the perfect squad for focusing down that one, strong opponent on the battlefield.
“Then he was filled with a red wrath and shouted aloud, and displaying his standard, black serpent upon scarlet, he came against the white horse and the green with great press of men; and the drawing of the scimitars of the Southrons was like a glitter of stars.” - The Return of the King, "The Battle of the Pelennor Fields".
While the Haradrim are fierce warriors, they are not without their healers and supports. Tibeb is a healer to her people, and carries various bags and pouches filled with herbs, ointments, potions and bandages. Like all protectors, she cares for her people deeply and will support them in their conflicts bravely.
“We have not seen Men like these before... They are fierce. They have black eyes, and long black hair, and gold rings in their ears... lots of beautiful gold. And some have red paint on their cheeks, and red cloaks and their flags are red, and the tips of their spears; and they have round shields, yellow and black with big spikes.” - Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers.
Throughout the ranks of Haradrim, deadly and beautiful Bladedancers bring furious attacks on their enemies. Bekelu, a Bladedancer, is deadly on the battlefield with her razor sharp blades whistling through the air, while also moving with such grace and swiftness that her attacks appear almost as if she were dancing.
