What are Operations and Challenges?

Every day is a new opportunity to earn Glory and unlock rewards. Learn how Operations and Challenges work in Star Wars™: Squadrons.

What Are Operations?

An Operation is a period in the game in which players can accomplish time-limited goals to earn exclusive rewards. They last approximately eight weeks. For the duration of the Operation, players can complete the Operation Challenge to unlock an exclusive helmet, and compete in ranked Fleet Battles to get rewards based on their maximum Rank at the end of the Operation.

At the beginning of each Operation, the player's Rank is reset, and the player must play ten placement matches of ranked Fleet Battles to get a new starting rank.

What Are Challenges?

Challenges are daily conditions that are tracked over one or many multiplayer matches. Upon completion, players can claim small but meaningful amounts of Glory. Typically, a Challenge will consist of achieving specific tasks while playing any of the multiplayer modes in Star Wars™: Squadrons. Players receive new challenges every day up to a maximum of three challenges at any given time.

Every Operation features an individual Operation Challenge that rewards players with an exclusive helmet upon completion. Each Operation Challenge is tied to an Operation and players can complete them only during the corresponding Operation. Usually, an Operation Challenge will consist of completing several Daily Challenges.
