[SPOILERS] From Spark'd to The Sims™ 4: Episode 1 Reward Surprise

Take a look inside the Episode 1 winners’ reward, now in-game!

The Sims™ Spark’d is now live! Episode 1 premiered today, and we’re catching up with the winning team. Be warned: there are spoilers ahead. If you missed the episode, you can catch it on BuzzFeed Multiplayer on July 20!

Okay, ready now? Great!

In Episode 1, Team Gnome crushed both the Skills and Elimination Challenges, showcasing their amazing styling, building, and storytelling abilities—and their teamwork. After sweeping the challenges, they worked with The Sims 4 developers to add the "Greenburg Family" into the game, so you can play with Team Gnome’s creations in your own way.

Before we show you how to find them in your own game, catch up with Team Gnome ahead!

Team Gnome (Left to Right): The English Simmer, Plumbella, and Simproved. For more information on these players, click here.

We sat down with some of the players for a quick catch-up about their experiences on the show and working with the Sims devs.

Are there any fun team moments or memories during this challenge you want to share with the Spark’d audience?

Simproved:I got distracted by the wording of the challenge and we lost some time because I was adamant to build a functioning house for the rivaling family. In the end, it wasn't necessary, and a simple "set" or room would have sufficed. I loved to see how well we could all record some snippets for the end movie. Perfect teamwork!

EnglishSimmer: My favorite memory from this challenge was watching Simproved go to work on the build. It was so cool to be able to watch her build that so quickly! Being able to learn skills from my team was an honor.

How did that moment feel when judge Rayvon Owen announced your team as the winners?

Simproved: I am so proud of our Sims and the short movie. We did well and it made me so happy that the judges saw it the same way.

EnglishSimmer: I couldn't believe it! With how good the other teams did with their stories and videos, I couldn't actually believe we won the challenge. And knowing that our family and build were going to make it into the game was a dream come true. If you had asked me as a kid, I never would have thought I would see my own creation in my favorite game!

What was it like working with Sims devs to have your creations come to life in the world of The Sims?

Simproved: It was awesome! The Devs are basically my rockstars. They create the game that I've been playing since my teens. So it was just mind-blowing that I could talk to them and get an insight on how a build gets to be in the game, what the process and workflow is. They were all very patient with us and explained every step and were there when we had questions. So I appreciate that they took the time, so that we could tweak the household, build, and story according to the Dev Team’s plans with the new Eco Lifestyle Expansion Pack.

EnglishSimmer: It really was a dream come true to work with the Devs on bringing our creation to life in The Sims 4. I had to keep pinching myself that it was happening. Getting to see what goes into the process behind the scenes was really interesting to me and it still doesn't feel real that I got to experience that with some of my best friends.

How does it feel to have your family and build in the game?

Simproved: If someone would have told me, "Hey, you are going to be on a Sims show and one of your builds will be in a pack for every Simmer in the world to see," I wouldn't have believed them. I still don’t. It is surreal and truly something I wouldn't even have dreamed of. That's how far away of a dream it was. So when the pack released and people started talking about my build, of course it was very exciting. I am still honored and happy that one of my builds made it into the game. Just wow!

EnglishSimmer: It still hasn't sunk in yet! It might sink in once people know and the "Hey, that's Team Gnome's family and build!" comments start. I think that's what I'm most excited for, to see how the community reacts to the news. Seeing people react to Simproved's build in their Eco Lifestyle videos has been so fun and I'm glad we now get the credit!

Have you found your family and build in the game yet?

Simproved: Yes! You can't miss it! =)

EnglishSimmer: Absolutely! They were the first family I dove into when I received my copy. Every time they pop up at my Sim's house or in a Community Lot, I can't help but crack a smile. I'm so proud of them.

Wondering where you can find the Greenburg Family? We’re excited to introduce Mary, Blossom, and their adopted son Knox in The Sims 4 Eco Lifestyle Expansion Pack. Experience their story for yourself, just like Team Gnome’s heroine, Aliyah. Scroll down below to learn how to find and interact with the Greenburg family!

The Greenburg Lot is located in Evergreen Harbor’s Port Promise neighborhood.

Finding the family requires the Eco Lifestyle Expansion Pack. Create a new game to interact with them and include them in your own Sims’ adventures.

  1. Venture into the city of Evergreen Harbor.
  2. Take out your phone and Travel.
  3. Select the Greenburg Residential Lot.
  4. Adventures with Mary, Blossom, and Knox await!
Does Knox Greenburg look familiar? That’s right. He’s on the cover of the Eco Lifestyle Pack!
