Treasure Hunt Update

Briny Heights has a new visitor in town! Meet Samuel "Smallfry" Friday, a member of the Sims Explorers Guild! The members of this organisation love looking for treasure and he’s been sent to recruit you to help him with the first ever Treasure Hunt event! Search for clues and use your map to find the new expedition locations to help Smallfry find the treasure. Along the way, you’ll earn college-themed rewards straight from The Sims 4 Expansion Pack - Discover University, so your Sims will have even more ways to Play with Life!

Britechester University and Foxbury Institute are rival colleges with very different histories, aesthetics and expertise. Show your school spirit with rewards from the University of Britechester - a traditional and prestigious college that specialises in arts and humanities. Don’t miss the new Sweet Treat Showdown later on in the update, to earn modern and futuristic items from Foxbury Institute – a fun campus with a focus on science and technology!

Treasure Hunt Live Event

It's time to prepare your Sims for a treasure hunt! Get your magnifying glass and prospecting tools ready - its time to start uncovering special artifacts in the new dig sites that have appeared all around town! Sims Explorers Guild and Smallfry need your help – open your map to begin.

Research Event: At home, your Sim must start researching and studying to generate clues that help you figure out where to look next for treasure!

Investigation Events: These take place all around town and require clues to begin. Your Sims must undertake themed actions to help look for information about where the treasure might be. Throughout the investigations, you’ll be rewarded a mixture of different prizes: Ancient Relic and Simoleons.

Expedition Dig Site Events: Your Sims must visit the new dig sites around town. These also require clues to begin. Undertake themed actions to be rewarded with even more amounts of Ancient Relics.

Dig Site Mini Game: At the expedition dig sites, there is a new mini-game to play! Smallfry gives you the opportunity to put your prospecting skills to the test to uncover more Ancient Relics, and even rarer Golden Bunnies! But think carefully - it's unclear where each reward is buried! The dig site mini game requires one Walkie Talkie to begin. You'll automatically get a Walkie Talkie every 5 hours, and can store up to 5 at a time.

Prize Structure: Use your Ancient Relics and Golden Bunnies that you earn along the way to redeem exclusive new prizes! You'll be able to choose which rewards you aim for first, as you work your way down to the grand prize Treasure Chest. Additionally, when you complete an entire row all color variants for each item are awarded as a bonus, rather than as individual prizes!

Later in the update, jump into the ‘Foxbury Institute’ Sweet Treat Showdown event to earn rewards that will help show your Sim’s personal style and even transform their home into a cosy dorm room. The rewards are straight from university and range from a giant Lobster mascot costume, a flying drone, casual college outfits, a gaming chair and even a study desk to help you get the grades you deserve!

LlamaZoom & Wumples' Quest Improvements

• LlamaZoom Tasks that previously required " Any Career, Hobby, or Relationship Event" will now simply ask for "Any Event"
• This means that Sweet Treat Showdown, Eco Workshop, and Treasure Hunt Events will now count as Standard or Long events for these LlamaZoom tasks
• The chance of LlamaZoom tasks asking for "Any" event has been increased (compared to tasks that ask for specifically Career, Hobby, or Relationship)
• Additionally, Sweet Treat Showdown, Eco Workshop, and Treasure Hunt Events now count towards Standard and Long event quest goals in Wumples' Quests

Bug Fixes

Thanks to your reports on Answers HQ (https://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-Mobile/ct-p/the-sims-mobile-en), our game team have been hard at work squashing bugs! Here is a list of just a few notable mentions that we’ve managed to fix in this update:

Eco Workshop Bugs:

• Missing a visual indicator for multi-gendered items
• 150-Point Action not being triggered on Soldering Kit
• Push notifications were not triggered for Eco workshop
• Some users were unable to progress past "Tap Workbench" step of Ecoworkshop tutorial when Sim was already in event

Event & LTO Bugs:

• "Bake it!" appointment guitar pick looked like it was overlapping with another guitar pick
• Standard Event goals could not be done by completing 4-hour Bake Off Event
• Confetti continued to appear on house lot when navigated from Park side after unlocking Barista Career
• All the Simoleons on the Simoleon Cactus were able to be collected without completing 30 days after placing it
• Simoleon Cactus thumbnail in Build/Buy visually showed Simoleons on it even when all the Simoleons were collected.
• Simoleon Cactus was not seen In Lot when Visiting Party or Viewing Home
• "Complete 2 long events" goal in the Easter Quest could not be completed when performing 8-hour events from Bake Off Event.

Fixed colour swatch and clipping issues with a number of Build/Buy objects:

• Street light ambient lighting effects were not seen during night mode in the default house lot.
• Few color variants changed for "Night Magic Blouse" when app updated from Multistory Update to Renovate Your Space Update
• Few color swatches did not match when applied on Sculpt Table
• Gap was seen between two "Clear sense of style Arched" Windows when they placed side by side
• Footprint issue with “Tree of Love” and objects around/underneath it
• "Pachira Tree" indoor plant clipped into the wall
• Counters and Sinks slightly clipped with other objects when placed at 45 degrees
• Broken Texture was observed for spoons in Shadowbox Tools
• Trouble placing stairs when placed against a wall with a light “ON” nearby

Fixed clipping and texture issues with a number of clothing items:

• Seam was seen on the body of Bear Suit
• Comfy CASual female “Plaid Pajama Pants” had clipping with a range of shoes
• Seam was seen when "Lovely Layered Dress" from Eco Workshop LTO is applied
• Necklace clipped with body when "Rainbow Connection Tee" is applied
• Clipping was seen when "Traditional Hijab" Hat was applied with Tops/outfits

Here are the playable event dates for this update (all dates in AEST):

• Treasure Hunt ‘University of Britechester’: 11-day event starting from Monday 28^th September
• Wumples Quest: 7-day event starting 4^th October
• Sweet Treat Showdown ‘Foxbury Institute’ event: 11-day event starting 11^th October
• Wumples Quest: 7-day event starting 18^th October
