• New UFC content is headed your way New fighters and more are coming to EA SPORTS UFC 5

Patch 1.13 goes live tomorrow with four new rostered fighters and some notable gameplay fixes.

To celebrate Mexican Independence Day and Riyadh Season Noche UFC, we are introducing two new rostered fighters from Mexico into UFC 5:

Daniel Zellhuber - Hailing from Mexico City, Mexico, Daniel Zellhuber makes his presence known when he enters the Octagon. Standing at 6’1 he cuts an imposing figure before the fight even begins and once things get going, that’s when “The Golden Boy” shines. In UFC 5, Daniel’s well-rounded striking game is complemented by a diverse and technical submission game on the ground.

Manuel Torres - Born in Chihuahua, Mexico, if there’s one word to describe Manuel Torres besides “El Loco” it’s “finisher”. Three UFC fights, three finishes, Manuel Torres knows he’s not getting paid by the minute and that’s exactly how he plays in UFC 5. Big striking power and speed are what you get when you pick “El Loco”.

Beyond these two fighters, this update also includes Tatsuro Taira (#5 FW) and Tabatha Ricci (#9 WSW).

With regards to gameplay fixes, this update addresses an issue where fighters would “glide” while recovering from combos used at short range or throwing circling/retreating strikes. There is also a fix for an issue that allowed the fighter dominating in the Cage Single Under Clinch position to land unblockable body punches to the fighter attempting to escape the clinch. 10 - 8 rounds are easier to achieve. Aggravation of cuts and swelling count significantly less toward the judges' scoring criteria and Active Knockdowns, (When the fighter doesn't fall completely and immediately recovers) now count more on the judges’ scorecards.

Experience one of the biggest UFC events ever in EA SPORTS UFC 5 - To celebrate Riyadh Season Noche UFC at Sphere in Las Vegas. UFC 5 will now include Sphere in Las Vegas as a playable venue and the Riyadh Season Noche UFC Fight Kits can be worn by the fighters when Sphere is selected. Get ready to battle with your favorite UFC 5 fighter inside Sphere after Saturday’s historic event only in EA SPORTS UFC 5.
