Description: As Captain of the Rangers of Ithilien, Faramir is a tactical leader who uses stealth and precision to dispose of his foes.

Abilities:

Basic Ability: Defend the Borders

Ability Description at unlock: Attack the target enemy for 100% damage. During Stealth, deal 110% damage instead.

Ability Description at max upgrade: Attack the target enemy for 190% damage. During Stealth, deal 230% damage instead.

Special Ability 1: Ranger’s Ambush

Ability stamina cost: 3

Ability stamina at battle start: 3

Ability Description at unlock: Attack the target enemy for 120% damage. Gain Stealth for 1 turn(s).

Ability Description at max upgrade: Attack the target enemy for 270% damage and inflict Slow for 2 turn(s). Gain Stealth for 1 turn(s).

Special Ability 2: Archers at the Ready

Ability stamina cost: 4

Ability stamina at battle start: 1

Ability Description at unlock: Attack all enemies for 110% damage. If there is at least one dead Gondor ally, deal 160% damage instead.

Ability Description at max upgrade: Attack all enemies for 240% damage. If there is at least one dead Gondor ally, deal 340% damage instead. Gain Stealth for 1 turn(s).

Passive Ability: Ranger of the White Tower

Ability Description at unlock: During Stealth, 20% chance to assist each time a Gondor or Ranger ally attacks an enemy with a Bane.

Ability Description at max upgrade: During Stealth, assist each time a Gondor or Ranger ally attacks an enemy with a Bane. When an ally Boromir dies, gain 100% Turn Meter.

Key Attributes: 

Faramir is an exceptionally well-trained fighter who is also a Captain of Gondor. While his brother, Boromir, favors a more bold approach, Faramir prefers to take a more subtle approach to conflict and prefers using tactical advantages such as Stealth. Faramir fights with a Gondorian Long Bow which suits his fighting style in being both strong and precise.

Inspiration:

Proud Ithilien Ranger of Noble Blood, Faramir patrols the wild borders of Gondor and has a small group of loyal Rangers under his command. Faramir inspires his comrades who would follow him into the most dire of battles. He is the son of Denethor II, the steward of Gondor as well as the brother of the Boromir who he fought side by side with defending Osgiliath. 

Strategy Tips:

• When Faramir gains Stealth with his abilities, he also dispels Marked. This is a key part of his kit to ensure success for Gondor in Chapter 3 of the Mines of Moria Raid.
• Faramir’s ability Ranger of the White Tower allows him to assist not just Gondor allies, but also Rangers. Try him in various squad compositions.
• Faramir’s ability Archers at the Ready is empowered if a Gondor ally has been killed. Use Faramir’s Stealth abilities to keep him out of danger and make sure he can utilize the benefit.

Denethor II’s son Faramir has close ties to his family, Rangers of the North, as well as those under his command in Ithilien, east of Gondor.

Players will need to be at least level 30 to participate in this event and unlock Faramir at 3 stars. Players can earn additional rewards from the final two tiers by leveling/gearing their newly unlocked Faramir. The final tier requires a 5 star Faramir, but provides some of the best rewards. Get these now as you won’t get another opportunity to do the final tier.
