Description: A skilled warrior, Rúmil is also a master of enchantments which aid in his work throughout Middle-earth.

Special Ability 1: Swift Strikes

Ability Description at unlock: Attack the target enemy 3 times for 55% damage per hit. Grant 1 stack(s) of Defensive to 1 random squad member(s).

Ability Description at max upgrade: Attack the target enemy 3 times for 110% damage per hit. Grant 1 stack(s) of Defensive to all squad members.

Note: Ability stamina cost and at battle start reduces to 3 at Rank 6.

Ability Description at unlock: Cleanse 1 Bane(s) from self. Attack the target enemy for 130% damage.

Ability Description at max upgrade: Cleanse 2 Bane(s) from self and the Dwarf or Elf ally with the most Banes. Attack the target enemy for 270% damage and call the same ally to assist.

Passive: Elven Safeguard

Ability Description at unlock: When a Dwarf or Elf squad member blocks an attack, grant them 1 stack(s) of Regeneration for 1 turn(s).

Ability Description at max upgrade: When a Dwarf or Elf squad member blocks an attack, grant them 2 stack(s) of Regeneration for 1 turn(s). Gain +20% Max Health.

Key Attributes: Rúmil like many of his kind is quick on his feet and can evade attacks, in addition to his ability to boost his allies by granting support advantages and cleanses where he can. With spear in hand, Rúmil is versatile as both defender and attacker and close ally of Elves and the Dwarves of Balin’s Expedition.

Inspiration: Little is known about Rúmi or his brother Orophin besides being Silvan Elves of Lothlórien. Alongside their brother Haldir, they were wardens of the border surrounding Lothlórien. In later years, after the Battle of the Five Armies, all 3 would encounter the Fellowship of the Ring at their arrival in Lórien. 

When we meet the brothers in our Shattered timeline, they have been sent by Celeborn and Galadriel to aid Balin and his expedition to help retake the ancestral home of the Dwarves - Moria. While Elves and Dwarves may have seemed unlikely allies during this time, we explore what if the Dwarves had helped the Elves and the Elves help their new Dwarven allies in return.

Strategy Tips:

• Rúmil’s ability Swift Strikes is a multi-hit attack that is particularly useful in the Mines of Moria Raid - Chapter 4. Make sure you time the ability to be available when the Balrog transforms into Flame Form.
• Enemies at Bay will cleanse Banes from Dwarf and Elf squad members. Use this ability at the opportune moment in the Mines of Moria raid to cleanse the squad of Burning and Blind.
• Like all Balin’s Expedition squad members, Rúmil is at home in a squad composed of Dwarves or Elves. Experiment with different squad combinations to find a good fit for your collection.

As a skilled warrior Rúmil uses his abilities to aid his allies in battle. The sound of his spear and shield clashing increases the resolve of those he fights alongside.  

Players will need to be at least level 30 to participate in this event and unlock Rúmil at 3 stars. Players can earn additional rewards from the final two tiers by leveling/gearing their newly unlocked Rúmil. The final tier requires a 5 star Rúmil, but provides some of the best rewards. Get these now as you won’t get another opportunity to do the final tier.
