EA gamescom 2015 – Fun Facts From the Show Floor

Mind-blowing-games need to be showcased on a mind-blowing show floor, and our booth experience at gamescom 2015 is gigantic, loaded with your favorite titles.
Here’s a few stats to give you a sense of scale.
- In total, almost 100 metric tons of equipment were set up — as heavy as half a blue whale!
- Over 800 kilometers of power and signal cables were laid, which is approximately the distance between Cologne and Venice.
- 500 square meters of projector screens were set up, about the size of three volleyball courts.
- 181 speakers are being used with a total output of 515,200 watts, about half the amount of power you’d need for a concert in a stadium.
- Custom-made TIE fighters and AT-AT Walkers that look like they come straight out of a Star Wars set were custom-built by Project X1 in just 53 days for EA at gamescom 2015.
- There are 523 computer-controlled spotlights and a total of 400 stations where you can take EA games out for a spin!
