UFC fans were first introduced to TJ Dillashaw as a member of Team Bisping on season 14 of The Ultimate Fighter in 2011. Despite losing the in the finale to current Flyweight contender John Dodson, Dillashaw went on to win five of his next six bouts in the UFC’s Bantamweight division. Displaying constant improvement in each of his Octagon appearances, Dillashaw pulled off one of the most spectacular upsets in UFC history when he dominated Renan Barao for five rounds, bringing the Brazilian’s nearly decade-long unbeaten streak to an end and claiming the Bantamweight title. Dillashaw will be looking showcase the same well-rounded skillset that won him the belt during his highly anticipated rematch with Barao at UFC 177.

Renan Barao

Owner of a 22-fight winning streak, Renan Barao has quickly established himself as dominant force in the UFC’s Bantamweight division. After initially claiming the division’s interim title while Dominick Cruz was shelved by injury, Barao has since been promoted the official Bantamweight champion, most recently defending the strap against top contender Urijah Faber. With fellow Brazilian UFC champ, Jose Aldo as a training partner, Barao has continued to improve with every new foray into the Octagon. Always looking to keep the fight out of the judges’ hands, Barao is a consummate finisher boasting eight wins by KO and another 14 by submission.

Takeya Mizugaki

An MMA veteran, Takeya Mizugaki made his professional debut on February 6, 2005 in his home country of Japan, going on to win his first six pro bouts. Making the jump to the UFC in March of 2011, Mizugaki has won seven of nine fights since joining the organization and is currently riding a five-fight win streak that includes victories over Bryan Caraway, Erik Perez and Francisco Rivera. Boasting a style showcases some of the Bantamweight division’s top striking, Mizugaki has scored five of his career wins by KO and another by submission. Aiming to extend his win streak to six, Mizugaki will look to make a statement at UFC 178 when he steps into the Octagon with former Bantamweight kingpin Dominick Cruz.

Brian Bowles

With a professional MMA career dating back to May of 2006, Brian Bowles has gone toe-to-toe with some of the best fighters that MMA’s lighter divisions have to offer including Urijah Faber and Dominick Cruz. Beginning his career with an eight-fight winning streak, Bowles is no stranger to finishing his fights, earning six career wins by submission and another three by knockout. Former owner of the WEC Bantamweight strap, Bowles made his UFC debut in 2011 following a loss to Cruz in a WEC Championship bout.

The UFC’s first-ever Bantamweight Champion, Dominick Cruz represents one of the division’s most talented fighters, logging only a single loss in his professional career to rival Urijah Faber. An elusive fighter that deploys a mixture of boxing and wrestling inside the Octagon, Cruz also owned the WEC Bantamweight belt prior to becoming a champion in the UFC. Despite never losing his title during competition, Cruz has been plagued by a series of injuries that have kept him sidelined since 2011, eventually causing him to vacate his UFC title. Currently working his way back to 100%, Cruz will be looking to make his return to MMA in the near future.

Mike Easton

Easton made his UFC debut on October 1, 2011, scoring a TKO win over Byron Bloodworth. He was also notably awarded Fight of the Night honors for his April 6, 2013 split-decision loss to Brad Pickett.

Currently fighting as a Bantamweight in the UFC, Faber recently enjoyed a dominant 2013, winning all four of his bout – with three wins coming by submission – before dropping a championship fight against Renan Barao which he accepted on short notice. Known for his ever-positive attitude and approach to MMA, the Team Alpha Male staple will be looking get his next run a belt kicked off as soon as possible.

Prior to dropping a tight split decision to Takeya Mizugaki in 2013, Perez was riding an impressive eight fight win-streak which he’ll be looking to start up again as soon as possible.

On the heels of a Fight of the Night performance against Scott Jorgensen and a decision win over Brad Pickett, Wineland faced off against Bantamweight Champion Renan Barao for the UFC title at UFC 165 in 2013, dropping the bout with a second round loss. He is currently ranked No.5 in the UFC’s Bantamweight division.

Not only is the Kentucky native widely recognized as one of the quickest fighters on the planet, but after becoming the division’s inaugural champion in 2012, the belt has never left his waist. Currently on a six-fight undefeated streak, Mighty Mouse defended his title three times in 2013, and seems to only be improving with every bout.
