Last night, the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences held their 15th Annual Interactive Achievement Awards ceremony in Las Vegas. Like the Academy Awards for film, these awards are decided by a jury of our peers, and as such they represent one of the highest levels of praise a game or developer can receive. That’s why we’re extremely proud that EA took home four IAA awards this year. The awards and the talented teams behind them:
- Battlefield 3 / DICE: Outstanding Achievement in Sound Design
- The Sims Social / Playfish and Maxis: Social Networking Game of the Year
- FIFA 12 / EA SPORTS: Sports Game of the Year
- Star Wars:The Old Republic / BioWare: Outstanding Achievement in Online Gameplay
Our reputation for making the highest quality games is something we cherish as a company, and we’re extremely happy to see that reflected in our successes here today. Congratulations to everyone that worked on these games, and thank you to all the gamers out there for your continued support.
