Hey Madden Community,
We have made it a focus to provide the community consistent communication about updates to the game. We provide those updates on different platforms like Gridiron Notes, our official EA Forums, and Twitter. We’ve heard your feedback that some want a single, streamlined source of information and the focus of today’s Gridiron Notes is to action on your feedback.
Our goal is to make getting news and updates in Madden easier for you. In order to do so, we’re creating a new channel on Twitter called @MaddenNFLDirect to provide players with updates to everything Madden.
WHAT IS IT?
@MaddenNFLDirect will be a new hub for Gridiron Notes, Title Updates, information about any ongoing live issues and much more. We want to make it easier for you to find the latest information around Madden and also give us feedback about the game.
Both @EAMaddenNFL and @EASPORTS_MUT will still continue to provide updates on all the news and content coming to Madden and their specific modes, while @MaddenNFLDirect will allow us to focus real-time communication around various important player topics.
WHAT DOES IT MEAN?
We understand that as Madden grows, players like to be informed on what is going on in the game. There are a lot of places today to get that information. Players have been following personal channels of Community Managers and Dev Members, and they provide a lot of great information, but we see the need to centralize that information as it tough to follow numerous accounts and an ever-flowing timeline.
We feel the implementation of @MaddenNFLDirect as a choice for our community to access dev updates and action items in one single spot is a good alternative for those that don’t want to follow personal accounts of staff members who may not always be interacting about Madden.
Please note it will not be staffed 24/7 but will be providing updates for the wider community when there is new information to be shared from us. We know the Madden community is one of the most passionate out there. We want to hear your feedback and our hope is that @MaddenNFLDirect will be another way for you to share your feedback.
