Introducing the 99 Club

The 99 Club is a time-honored tradition in the history of Madden Ratings. A 99 Overall (OVR) rating is not only the sign of an amazing player in the game, but the elite members of this title are among the best players in the NFL. So whether it’s on the NFL field or a head-to-head match in Madden NFL 22, the 99 Club players can take over a game at any moment. 

With that being said, let’s take a look at this year’s 99 Club in Madden NFL 22. Keep checking back as we’ll reveal another 99 OVR player each day this week.

PATRICK MAHOMES | QB

JALEN RAMSEY | CB
Los Angeles Rams

There’s talented cornerbacks, then there’s Jalen Ramsey. Ramsey is the definition of shutdown in Madden NFL 22.

Ramsey’s ratings give him tremendous versatility. If you like to user lurk with your DBs, Ramsey’s Speed, Acceleration, and Jumping totals make him one of the best options to control. But he also shines with AI in the driver’s seat, with 99s across nearly all coverage-related ratings. Continuing to redefine what’s possible from the defensive end position, Donald can outmuscle anyone on the field with 99 Strength, making him the strongest player in Madden NFL 22. He also has the holy grail of RE skills with absurdly high ratings across all line-penetration attributes and top scores in field awareness.

Whether you enjoy user control on the line or just let your players go to work in the trenches, Aaron Donald remains one of the most effective players in the game.

DAVANTE ADAMS | WR
Green Bay Packers

Davante Adams’ 2020 campaign was nothing short of historic. Once buried in the Green Bay Packers’ depth chart, Adams has emerged as the best WR in the NFL.

He might not have the blazing Speed a lot of Madden NFL gamers swoon over, but Adams sports a lethal combination of Catch and Route Running ratings. There are some WRs in the game that better specialize in deeper routes, but Adams’ unique blend of ratings make him the premiere target in the game. He also comes equipped with a best-in-game 99 Release rating, ensuring that he will routinely break away from defenders to get open.
