With a record 40 million votes cast, Old School bracket champion Barry Sanders has defeated New School bracket winner Adrian Peterson and will grace the cover of Madden NFL 25.
Sanders triumphed over a who’s who of NFL legends, including Ray Lewis, Marcus Allen, Joe Montana and Jerry Rice. His win is historic in a few ways - he is the first-ever athlete to appear on back-to-back EA covers as after sharing last year's NCAA Football 13 cover with Robert Griffin III. We also have back-to-back covers featuring the Detroit Lions, with Calvin Johnson, Jr. appearing on the cover of Madden NFL 13 last year.
It seems only fitting that an Old School fan favorite would grace the cover of the game's 25th Anniversary, right? What do you think? Share your thoughts on the new cover in the comments below and check out the new Run Free trailer below and more about the cutting-edge Infinity Engine 2 here.
