Sharing Our First Electronic Arts Impact Report
The note below was shared with Electronic Arts employees today by our CEO Andrew Wilson.

Our mission is to Inspire the World to Play. Every day, we are fortunate that we get to create some of the greatest entertainment experiences in the world. Games bring joy to billions of people, and are a very meaningful part of our lives. With this amazing opportunity, we also recognize our ability to have a positive impact on the world. We take this responsibility seriously, living our values in service of our players and our communities every day.
Today, we are launching our first annual Impact Report, detailing our commitments and progress in important social and environmental focus areas. While we’ve shared information on these efforts in a variety of forums to date, this is a comprehensive view designed to provide clarity and transparency into our programs and milestones, including:
- Building Diverse and Healthy Teams
- Positive Play and Healthy Communities
- Investing in Privacy and Security
- Protecting the Environment
- Enhancing Corporate Governance
We have ongoing commitments in all of these areas. So far this year, we’ve shared many updates and new developments, including our actions for racial and social justice that we announced this summer, the launch of our Global Green Team to continue our sustainability efforts, establishing our Positive Play group to help build safe, fair and inclusive communities, and our ongoing internal conversations about equality, inclusion and diversity. These are just a few examples of the great work being done, and with each step, we are driven by how much more progress we can make.
Within the Impact Report, we are also sharing the workforce diversity representation data for our entire organization, building on some regional data that we’ve previously shared. Cultivating a diverse workforce and an inclusive culture that deeply values equality is at our core. It fuels our creative process, it strengthens our communities, and enables us to deliver more amazing games and experiences that reflect the diversity of the world around us. While we’ve made some progress, we have much more work ahead of us to continue bringing greater representation into our company. We want to be transparent about our journey and our commitment to advancing inclusion in everything we do, and we will continue to share more about how we are accelerating our efforts.
This has been a year like no other, but we have witnessed how valuable games and play can be for our world. Our focus on supporting our players, our communities and all of you is stronger than ever, and this report is another step in our journey to continually learn, improve and be a force for good. Thank you to all the teams across the company that helped to develop this report and our ongoing process to capture progress in these important areas.
I’m inspired every day by the amazing experiences we bring to the world. This is an incredible team, and I’m proud to be a part of it.
