Shift 2 UNLEASHED DLC Coming Free to PC

The folks over at Need for Speed have announced that the Legends and Speedhunters DLC Packs for Shift 2: UNLEASHED are coming to PC gamers at absolutely no cost. With a total of 27 new cars, five new tracks, and two new game modes, this deal gives you more than most full expansion packs, and it’s free to boot!
The Legends Pack brings thirteen cars from the 1960s and early 1970s embodying the daring design and throaty, rumbling engines of the era. Featuring the Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA, the BMW 3.0 CSL Gr. 5, the Ford GT40 Mk.I, the Porsche 911 Carrera RSR 3.0, and many more, the spirit of the times shines through in these cars’ bold looks. The pack also comes with five new tracks from the same period, where you can put your new muscle to work on challenging and historic courses like Rouen-Les-Essarts, Monza, and Silverstone.
The Speedhunters Pack adds two new game modes – Drag, which tasks you to get to the finish line as fast as possible in a blistering drag race, and Standing Mile, where the winner is whoever dares to push their vehicle to the breaking point and reach the higher speed at the end of one mile. Take on these new modes with two new cars (Chris Rado’s World Racing Pro-FWD Reaper Scion tC and Koz’s Dodge Viper GTS by Twins Turbo) and 12 specially tuned Speedhunters cars.
On June 30th fans will be able to download the DLC packs free from Origin – instructions on how to grab your free download can be found on the Need for Speed site, along with trailers for the Legends and Speedhunters DLC Packs.
