LIVE Ultimate Team Dev Showdown
LIVE Ultimate Team (LUT) includes a number of Fantasy Showdowns that help you earn coins and improve your team. Tip Off against any NBA opponent or take your team online versus other LIVE Ultimate Teams!
Fantasy Showdowns feature both real NBA teams and a mix of fantasy matchups. Can you defeat last year’s stats leaders or the top draft classes from the last 20 years? Fantasy Showdowns will be added throughout the season, so check back often.
While the LIVE Ultimate Team (LUT) community continues to build up their squads, our very own development team has done the same. The four teams below were built up the old fashioned way, and our team took zero shortcuts when assembling these juggernauts.
Do you have what it takes to beat four of EA SPORTS Tiburon’s best?

THE INTERNS – ZACH KUZMANIC, SOFTWARE ENGINEER

SF: Carmelo Anthony Spotlight
PF: Bill Russell
C: Wilt Chamberlain
Bench:
Blake Griffin Spotlight
Kevin Love Spotlight
Chris Mullin
Clyde Drexler
Nate Archibald
Karl Malone
Manu Ginobli
Zach: I built my team from the inside/out with the two greatest defenders of all-time: Bill Russell and Wilt Chamberlain. Then I surrounded them with great perimeter shooting from Kyrie Irving, Paul George, Carmelo Anthony, and Chris Mullin.

HOLTERGEISTS – DARYL HOLT, VP
PG: Chris Paul
SG: Allen Iverson
SF: Kevin Durant
PF: LaMarcus Aldridge Spotlight
C: Wilt Chamberlain
Bench:
Kobe Bryant
Dwyane Wade
LeBron James
Kevin Love
Dwight Howard
Derrick Rose
Ray Allen
Daryl: This team is built on pure scoring potential. All five starters can fill the basket from inside and out. CP3 and The Answer form the backcourt and KD, LaMarcus Aldridge and Wilt the Stilt dominate the frontcourt. The bench is stacked and the Magic logo shows our studio’s home team pride. The Holtergeists will haunt you unless you can either step up on D or be able to put serious points up on the board.

FROZEN SAINTS – STERLING PIERCE, DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
PG: Chris Paul Record Breaker
SG: James Harden Spotlight
SF: LeBron James
PF: Carmelo Anthony

Frozen Saints are a franchise with a storied history. Original founder Father Nicholas Pierce formed an all-boys field hockey team in the wilds of Northern Utah in 1912. Unable to find any opponents and after a brief sojourn with polo and an unfortunate attempt at hurling, the Frozen Saints Basketball Athletics Club of Wahoo, Utah was born.
Today, GM Sterling Pierce has put together a team that would make his Great-Grandfather proud. Legendary center Patrick Ewing (a one-time resident of Wahoo) is the anchor on a team high on scoring and pure of spirit. Proudly bearing the Jazz heritage of Utah as their coat of arms, he is surrounded by record-breaking Chris Paul and James Harden at the guard spots, with LeBron and Melo manning the frontcourt. Off the bench, no less than Oscar Robertson and Larry Bird lead a mix of scoring and defending that can only be defeated by fundamental basketball and a strong belief in the inherent goodness of all mankind.

BUTTERMAKERS – JUSTIN SHEFFIELD, PRODUCER
PG: Chris Paul Spotlight
SG: Magic Johnson (natural PG)
SF: Kevin Durant Spotlight
PF: Patrick Ewing (natural C)
C: Shaquille O’Neal
Bench:
Russell Westbrook
Kobe Bryant
Julius Erving
Karl Malone
Moses Malone
Tony Parker
Dwight Howard
Justin: This team is built around defense and depth. Chris Paul excels at both ends of the court. Moving Magic to the “2” outmatches almost every opponent defensively because of his size. The frontcourt of Durant, Ewing and O’Neal can score in droves and is scary good at shutting down any dribble penetration. You’re going to need lights-out shooters to combat these guys – and grabbing offensive boards is next to impossible. Not a lot of second chances against this trio.
The bench is built to keep the pressure on – it can put up points like an All-Star team. Westbrook can score from outside, penetrate or dish – he’s a triple threat on the court. Kobe scores at will, Dr. J does it with style and the Mailman and Moses Malone duo are lights out. The Supersonics are represented as the team logo – one of my favorites.
76ERS HIT THE ROAD
Take the Philadelphia 76ers on the road for three away contests against Toronto, Memphis and Charlotte.
RECORD BREAKERS
New Items have been added to commemorate some of 2014's record-breaking performances, including J.J. Hickson's 15 offensive rebounds and Kevin Durant's 38 straight games with 25+ points. If Durant needs two more 25+ performances to match the longest streak in 50 years.
