In the heart of Silicon Valley, you’ll find EA’s global HQ and home to Maxis Studios! This is where it all started 40 years ago with the founding of the company. EA Redwood Shores (lovingly called EARS) encompasses everything we love at EA; diversity, passion, collaboration, and creativity.
Here you'll also find our one-of-a-kind Player Experience Lab! Within these walls, we've playtested a wide variety of games including The SimsTM, Apex LegendsTM, and Star Wars Jedi: SurvivorTM to name a few. Being on the West Coast, it’s also our main Playtesting Lab for studios such as Respawn, Ripple Effect, and the recently opened Ridgeline Games!
A little-known fact about our EARS Lab is that visiting Game Teams from across our EA studios sign our Playtesting wall whenever they visit. Check out some of the signatures in the gallery below.
With over 20 seats across two labs, and a designated 1-on-1 room, this location has everything needed to run all types of Playtests. Expect to take part in everything from big multiplayer shooter sessions to exploratory 1-on-1 conversations with an EA Researcher. So, if you’re a fan of Apex Legends, The Sims, Battlefield, or Star Wars then this is the lab for you! But don’t worry, even though we love FPS and Star Wars here, we playtest a variety of other EA games too so you're sure to find a Playtest that suits you!
We also offer in-person Playtests at the following locations: Stockholm (Sweden), Guildford (UK), Orlando (US), Vancouver (Canada), and Montreal (Canada).
