Collaboration is a key part of our company commitment to ensuring a safe and inclusive experience for young players

Video games and interactive entertainment are becoming increasingly important in our lives. It’s a space to create, connect, and build unforgettable player experiences, whether through competitive thrills like those found in EA SPORTS Madden, NHL, and Apex Legends or through the day-to-day comfort found in games like The Sims. Yet, no matter your preference, it’s within these worlds where we make those experiences real. It is in these spaces that we need to ensure that the millions of players EA reaches from around the world feel welcome, safe, and included.
This is why EA is proud to announce that we have joined two organizations helping shape and support the online world to make it safer for kids and their families–Tech Coalition and the Family Online Safety Institute (FOSI).
“EA’s mission is to inspire the world to play because the world is a better place with play. We want all our players to have welcome, safe, and inclusive experiences in our games and services. We are excited to join the Tech Coalition and FOSI and look forward to collaborating with the organization and its members,” said Kerry Hopkins, SVP of Global Affairs at EA.
We have long worked to empower players and parents with tools and information that allow them to make informed decisions about how they and their children play our games. In 2020, we launched our Positive Play Charter, reinforcing the behaviors we expect from our community and helping make sure all players have a positive playing experience. We also use proactive online safety solutions, such as filters blocking inappropriate content and easy-to-use tools for players to report disruptive behavior across its game portfolio.
We are joining these organizations as part of our commitment to ensure a safe experience for our players and because we believe that collaboration with others in the industry around risks and solutions will allow all of us to innovate and be better.
