  • 2010-2011 Amar'e Stoudemire OVR 87 Two-Way lineup

We released a new Big Moment Live Event featuring “The Beard” James Harden who scored 35 points and made the game winning shot vs the Golden State Warriors. Big Moments James Harden is also available in packs.

Monta Ellis is the latest player to join the Throwback Thursday group of players, Ellis put up numerous of 50 point games while playing for the Warriors and showed the world he was a scoring machine from anywhere on the court.

Player of the Game

As players hunt for the top players in NBA LIVE Mobile, sometimes, you'll come across a player who can provide your team an instant spark. These players might not be valuable to other due to numerous reasons but for those who appreciate these players they soon realize they have a sleeper on their  hands. This week's sleeper is C.J. McCollum!

C.J. has a 88 3-point rating that's very strong considering he's a 79 OVR player. McCollum can really get going from behind the 3-point line. if you're low on coins, head to Auction House and see if you can find him and some sleeper firepower to your team.

Post Game

Welcome back to another session of Post-Game Interview, this time we are joined by NBA LIVE Team Member Ryan Norby. Some of you may have seen his cameo on our first stream for NBA LIVE Mobile. Let's get started.

CG: First off, thank you for taking the time out of your day to do this. So what exactly do you do for NBA LIVE Mobile and  how long have you been doing?

RN: I am one of the software engineers for NBA LIVE Mobile! I was one of the first engineers from our Tiburon studio (in Orlando, Florida) to work on NBA LIVE Mobile back in January, so I spent a lot of time developing the game with our talented PEI Red Crow studio (based in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island). It truly is a cross-studio effort, and it's amazing to see the results of everyone's hard work and dedication. The Tiburon development team for NBA LIVE Mobile is small at its core, so I get to work on everything from the server to the 3D gameplay, user interface, tools, and more. The areas I've spent most of my time on are the user interface and tools. Since Hoff & Sterling are well known in the NBA LIVE Mobile community, I should point out that working on the tools allowed me to develop close friendships with them (they use tools I wrote to make that awesome content for you guys)!

CG: Wow! That's pretty impressive. Have you worked on any projects before NBA LIVE Mobile?

RN:Before working on NBA LIVE Mobile, I started out as a software engineer intern for Madden Mobile two summers ago. From June 2015 to January 2016, I continued working on the Madden Mobile team as a full time engineer. Although the games are separate projects, our teams work together quite closely, sharing ideas and feedback to make both games the best they can be. I’m excited to see how both games grow and evolve going forward!

CG: That's whats up! What's your favorite thing about NBA LIVE Mobile so far?

RN: That’s an easy one – the community (that’s right – all of YOU J)! After seeing your excitement and passion for our game, it really does make it all worth it. When I’m not coding, I regularly browse the nbalive.gg forums to read through your suggestions/concerns. We do take all your feedback seriously and use it to improve our game. In game development, there are a ton of things that happen behind the scenes to make it all work, so although we can’t address everyone’s concerns each release, I want to let you know that we’re working as hard as we can to continue improving all aspects of the game.

CG: We heart you NBA LIVE Mobile community! But alright my brother one last question,  Do you have any advice for anyone in the community who dreams of doing your job?

RN: I would say one of the most important things is passion. If you’re truly passionate about what you do, whether it’s game programming or otherwise, you will always want to be learning and improving. I was 11 years old when I discovered my passion for videogame development, and I’ve felt that way ever since. For programming in particular, technical problem solving and communication skills are extremely important. Every day, our programmers tackle new challenges, whether it’s fixing elusive bugs or implementing large features. Game development has a steep learning curve, but if you have the passion for videogames and the motivation to overcome difficult challenges, it’s a very rewarding profession to pursue.

CG: Well that's a wrap for this interview this week! It was an honor to interview you Norby, we will certainly catch up with you soon!

Overtime

Welcome to another edition of Overtime! You guys have more questions and we have more answers so let's get to it.

Q: “Why are players not able to be put out of positon like during the soft launch?”- Riceman12 on NBALIVE.gg

A: We wanted to add more depth to the players in our game. Some players play different positions depending on lineups they're in just like real life basketball.

Q: “What's the max level we can reach?”- NBA LIVE.gg

A: The max level is 50.

Alright, well it was fun hanging with you guys Courtside this week. Don't forget every Friday at 1pm EST we are streaming on Twitch.tv/EASPORTS

We can't end this without saying the usual, you guys haven't seen nothing yet.

Peace,

NBA LIVE Mobile Community Manager, Cornell Gunter
