Season 2 Launch

Hey NHL Fans,

We’re excited to share all the details for Season 2 of NHL 25! It begins today, December 5th, with the historic inclusion of the professional women's hockey league, the PWHL.

Season 2 - Welcome to the Family

PWHL

The PWHL update will feature all six PWHL teams—the Boston Fleet, Minnesota Frost, Montréal Victoire, New York Sirens, Ottawa Charge, and Toronto Sceptres. They’ll be selectable in the following modes: Play Now, Online Versus, Shootout, and a bespoke Season Mode where you can compete for the Walter Cup.

You can also collect PWHL players within Hockey Ultimate Team and sport PWHL vanity within World of Chel.

Hockey Ultimate Team

The Season 2 XP Path launched last Friday which includes a 90 OVR Victor Hedman for you to earn alongside 5 power-up players that can each be upgraded to 88 OVR. Check out the full details of the Season 2 XP Path here.

HUT Events

Four new HUT Events will span across this season. Protect the Net, Frozen Forces, Gallery of Greats, and HUT 2000. Here’s a sneak peek at what you can expect:

Protect The Net (Friday, November 29th - Friday, December 13th)

Showcasing the top 2-way players and goaltenders in the NHL.

Frozen Forces (Friday, December 13th - Friday, December 27th)

Our holiday themed event featuring some of the biggest stars in the NHL.

Gallery of Greats (Friday, December 27th - January 10th)

The return of the Gallery of Greats event focusing on the best players in Hockey history.

HUT 2000 (Friday, January 10th - Friday, January 24th)

All things Y2K, players that were stars in 2000 and players that were born in 2000.

Team of the Year

Team of the Year (Friday, January 24th - Friday, February 7th)

We’re excited to celebrate the top players from the 2024 Calendar year starting on Friday, January 24th! Stay tuned to learn more information about TOTY as part of Season 3.

World of Chel

Season 2 Battle Pass

The second Battle Pass for NHL 25 will feature 90+ rewards across 75 levels and a premium upgrade is available as well.* Completing the Season 2 Battle Pass will net you the Tropic Glow Vanity Set^^

Custom Loadouts

Custom loadouts will be granted additional attribute points each season, which will carry over in future seasons enabling attribute ratings to increase throughout the year.

Arcade+ (Releasing Friday, December 20th)

Arcade is getting an upgrade with the upcoming release of Arcade+! On December 20th get ready for even more chaos with the four new powerups:

Lightning - Call down a quick set of lightning strikes that add a jolt of electricity to the game, not even the goalie is safe from those! Just keep an eye on the puck for the third and final strike.

Curse - A voodoo doll that curses your opponent with Reverse Controls. Can you fight through the curse and score that big goal?

TNT Puck - Turn the puck into an explosive game changer knocking down anyone caught in its blast radius. Time the explosion with a shot to create great scoring chances.

Angry Mascot - A personal favorite! Summon your Team’s mascot to wreak havoc on your opponent's team opening up the ice for great counterattacks or helping out on defense.

Special Characters

Two new special characters, Antler and Woody, are also now available in the store.
