• How to Shoot Machine Guns Effectively in Battlefield V Learn how to get the most out of these deadly weapons.

BFNations teaches you how to make every bullet count when you’re firing machine guns in Battlefield™ V.

Playing the Support Class provides access to both light and medium machine guns. Both categories of these fully-automatic weapons have large magazines and are capable of doing some serious damage, especially at a medium range from their target. However, there are some specific differences between the two you should be aware of.

Light machine guns are best for players on the move – pushing the objective or focused on vehicle repair. Medium machine guns are preferred by those who are going to be playing a more stationary game. Support players building Fortifications or attempting to protect an objective, for example. Medium machine guns (MMGs) aren’t easily portable and require a bipod for aiming down your sight. However, their large magazine combined with the Support Class’ ability to resupply ammo indefinitely makes them an excellent suppression choice.

When it comes to firing your machine gun, it’s a good idea to aim for the torso of your enemy, both because it presents the best target and because the weapon’s vertical recoil can lead to the occasional headshot. As always, when targeting a moving enemy soldier, lead your shots (shoot a little farther ahead of your target, in the direction they’re moving). Want to improve your aim even more? Try adding a medium-range scope.
