We spoke to Eden Hazard, the October EA SPORTS Player of the Month, and caught up with him on the season so far. He gave us his thoughts on the award, his favourite goal scored this month and who the best EA SPORTS FIFA 17 player is in the Chelsea squad.
EA SPORTS: How does it feel to win the player of the month award?
EH: Its good, but what’s most important is to win the league at the end of the season. Without my teammates I am nothing though, we did well this month and I hope that we can continue like this.
EA SPORTS: What do you feel the key is to your return to form individually and as a team?
EH: We are a group, we are together, we win together and we lose together. After the two defeats to Liverpool and Arsenal, we changed the system and we have won all the games since and we haven’t conceded a goal and we have scored a lot of goals and we have been enjoying ourselves, this is the key.
EA SPORTS: EA SPORTS data shows that you have had 27 shots so far this season, more than you have ever had at this point in a season. Why do you think this is and how has it effected your performance as a whole?
EH: I don’t know, I really don’t know. I remember I heard some people say I don’t shoot enough and now I try and shoot and score every game. Before I would always think about making the last pass to make an assist but now I will try and score myself.
EA SPORTS: Who is the best FIFA player at Chelsea?
EH: Some of the young players are good but I think Azpilicueta is good as well. Courtois is not bad also but I am not good enough to beat these guys!
EA SPORTS: You scored 3 Premier League goals in October, do you have a favourite out of those three? And why?
EH: The second one against Everton because I think nearly all of the team touched the ball and we created a lot of space that meant at the end I could score.
