Match Week 7 is upon us at the FC Pro Open, where four players have confirmed their place at the FC Pro Open Finals so far.

Players from Group C will be looking to join Emre Yilmaz, Umut, PHzin, and Young in the next stage, though no one has guaranteed their place just yet. 

Vejrgang currently leads the way as the star performer from Match Week 3, but he is tracked closely by AbuMakkah in second. Elsewhere, ManuBachoore, seanldw, and AntoniniGabriel will be looking to make a late surge up the table. 

There is still plenty to play for with participants able to guarantee their spot in next year’s Global Qualifier by avoiding a bottom-placed finish, and here are the players and matches to look out for in Match Week 7.

Players to watch at the FC Pro Open - Match Week 7

Vejrgang - RBLZ esports star Vejrgang was the standout player in Match Week 2 as he registered the most goals scored and joint-fewest conceded across the opening four games. The Denmark international put up some of the strongest performances that we have seen so far from anyone at the FC Pro Open, and he will be the player to watch in Group C as the only unbeaten participant left in the competition.

AbuMakkah - Nine points from Match Week 2 means a repeat performance would see AbuMakkah qualify for the FC Pro Open Finals. He has been one of the most composed players at the tournament so far, and that has helped him find consistent results with his notable high level of defending. 

His only defeat so far at the FC Pro Open is to Vejrgang, setting up a potential group-winning clash in his third match of the night. 

Seanldw - Bayer Leverkusen esports' seanldw has left himself in a respectable position after some solid performances in Match Week 2. He kicked off his FC Pro Open campaign with a 6-3 win over AntoniniGabriel, before securing another point in a 2-2 draw with ManuBachoore.

Being five points away from second-placed AbuMakkah means there is a chance to qualify, and he could immediately apply pressure if he beats Vejrgang in the opening match of the night. 

Three matches to watch at the FC Pro Open - Match Week 7

Vejrgang vs seanldw  (Round 6 - 18.10 GMT) 

A 5-3 win for Vejrgang last time around means Match Week 7 at the FC Pro Open is likely to kick off with plenty of goals. This all-Virtual Bundesliga clash will see RBLZ go up against Bayer Leverkusen, setting the tone for some potential twists and turns in Group C.

A repeat victory for Vejrgang will mean he takes a commanding lead atop the group, but seanldw has the chance to apply pressure with a win that will take him to seven points overall. 

AntoniniGabriel vs ManuBachoore (Round 7 - 18.50 GMT) 

eWorld Cup winner ManuBachoore comes into Match Week 7 with a slim chance of qualifying that relies on other results going his way, and that sees his opening clash against AntoniniGabriel as his most important for momentum.

Italian esports pro AntoniniGabriel enjoyed a 4-3 victory last time around in a close contest, but he will be hopeful of a better defensive display after conceding the most goals (23) across his opening four games.

Even if the results don’t go in favour of the two players from this contest to help their chances of qualification, this match will still have a significant impact on who secures an automatic place at next year’s Global Qualifier.

AbuMakkah vs Vejrgang (Round 8 - 19.30 GMT)

The match between AbuMakkah and Vejrgang had some of the most drama we have seen at the FC Pro Open so far despite being low-scoring at 2-1. The group leader’s narrow win came down to his excellent goalkeeper movement skills to weather a second-half storm from the Saudi Arabia international, who will be looking to win this one amid hopes of ending Match Week 7 as the winner of Group C.
