Match Week 7 may have seen the reigning world champion crash out of the FC Pro Open, but for another star of Esports, Monday evening saw him solidify his status as a favourite to lift the title.

RBLZ Gaming's Vejrgang underlined his excellent form by topping Group C in the FC Pro Open, doing so without losing a single game in spite of some fierce competition.

Indeed, the Dane saw off challenges from the likes of FIFAe World Cup winner ManuBachoore, Antoninigabriel, Seanldw and  AbuMakkah - who also qualified for the Finals on Monday evening.

It was a relatively stress-free evening for Vejrgang in terms of results, not that his body language would give that away.

Instead, the superstar could be seen getting animated after conceding goals and shushing the camera on several occasions throughout the night.

Nevertheless, having gone unbeaten through his entire group-stage campaign, he can certainly claim to have silenced the doubters.

Despite his remarkable talent and status as a star of Esports, Vejrgang is yet to win an individual S-Tier international competition, with his biggest victory on the world stage coming with his RBLZ Gaming teammates at last year's FIFAe Club World Cup.

"Now it's time for people to wake up and see that I'm the best in the Pro tournaments, not just in league [competitions]," the group winner said afterwards.

While AbuMakkah didn't manage to go unbeaten he did qualify with two games left to spare, a sign of just how much he impressed in a stacked group.

A decisive 6-1 win against Seanldw in Match Week 7's opening game all but sealed the Saudi's place in the Finals, with another win against AntoniniGabriel making sure of qualification later in the night.

AbuMakkah

Monday's results have set up a pair of fantastic FC Pro Open Quarter-finals, as Vejrgang faces Young, while AbuMakkah will meet Group B winner PHzin in the last eight.

"There's no difference between playing Young or PHzin, it's fine," AbuMakkah stated after reaching the Finals.

"I just want to be qualified for the World Championships[now], that's my aim."

Both Vejrgang and AbuMakkah are now just one win away from qualifying for the first-ever FC Pro World Championships - previously known as the FIFAe World Cup.

Group C table

The pair face tough challenges in the Quarter-finals, but it's safe to say Vejrgang has laid down a serious marker to his rivals in recent weeks. The great Dane will take some stopping in this year's FC Pro Open.
