• Introducing the FIFA Global Series 22 FGS Masters Teams and Players December 9, 2021

    In our EA SPORTS FIFA 22 Global Series Deep Dive we let you know that 16 teams would qualify directly to the Team of the Season Cup based on previous competitive performance.  Today, we are excited to share the 16 teams and 32 competitors who will make up our first class of FGS Masters and have already booked their ticket to the Team of the Season Cup.  During our FGS Open, running from December 10-12 and airing on twitch.tv/easportsfifa, we will find out the other 16 teams who will compete alongside them at the Team of the Season Cup

    Without further ado our 16 FGS Masters Teams and their players are: 

    • AFC Ajax 
      • Dani and Levy
      • Dutch Giant AFC Ajax features perennial FeWC contender and multiple eDivisie winner Dani and FGS21 EU PlayStation Playoff Champion Levy in a compelling lineup of veteran competitors who won’t be worried no matter who they face during the tournament.
    • Atlanta United FC 
      • Paulo Neto and Vini
      • eMLS team featuring two of Brazil’s very best, with top performances across FIFA 20 and 21 competitions for each competitor, including a South America Qualifier win for Paulo Neto.  Returning to Global Competition will allow Atlanta United FC to plant their flag on the map in the Global FIFA scene. 
    • Blue United eFC 
      • Agu and Tsakt
      • Individual performances across multiple seasons and a top slot at the FIFAe Club World Cup Regional competition in FIFA 21 earned Blue United eFC an FGS Masters Invite, with a record of teamwork, how will this duo fare at Team of the Season Cup
    • Complexity Gaming 
      • Joksan and MaXe
      • North America based Complexity features Joksan, who burst onto the scene in FIFA 19 winning the FIFA 19 PlayStation Continental Cup and hasn’t stopped since.  Joksan and Maxe are the FIFAe 2020 Club World Cup Champions and regional champions of 2021, with a proven teamplay record, its expected Complexity should go far in the competition. 
    • DUX Gaming
      • Gravesen and DanielAguilar4
      • One of the most consistent teams during the FGS21 season, the DUX organization has made sure every one of their players is a threat.  With this history of team domination, we are intrigued to see how these two perform together.
    • EXCEL ESPORTS
      • Gorilla and Tom
      • EXCEL ESPORTS is back with a knockout line-up of Gorilla & Tom.  Tom topped the FGS21 leaderboards in Europe along with notching a qualifier win and some top placements.  Gorilla is the 2017 FIWC Champion and put together one of his best recent seasons in FIFA 21.  While these two have never played together, it's hard not to be excited about the prospect of them competing on the same team.
    • FNATIC
      • Tekkz and Diogo
      • FNATIC pairs multiple FUT Champions Cup Winner, eClub World Cup Winner, ePL Winner and eCL invitational winner Tekkz with steady Portuguese competitor Diogo.  How will Tekkz’ individual glories translate into FGS22 team competition with these new teammates working together?
    • Guild Esports
      • NICOLAS99FC and NRaseck
      • GUILD Esports has put together an enticing international pairing with multiple Major wins between the teammates.  Both of their skills on the virtual pitch are evident, but how will they gel as teammates?  
    • Inter Esports
      • Resende and Tore
      • Resende lit up South America in FIFA 21, winning two qualifiers and the eLibertadores competition. Tore has been a top-competitor across Europe and South America since bursting onto the scene with a top 4 finish at his first FUT Champions Cup.  Another exciting combination of South American competitors ready to prove themselves on the big, global stage. 
    • Mkers
      • Prinsipe and Cosimo
      • Prinsipe won the European FIFAe Club World Cup Regional Competition in FIFA 21, adding to his individual trophy counts which includes a FIFA 17 Regional Cup. Cosimo appeared in three FIFA 21 European Qualifier broadcasts, finishing as high as second and placing 6th on the seasonal leaderboard. These two veterans have plenty of experience to help carry them through the toughest tournament moments.
    • NEO
      • DullenMIKE and Hensoo
      • NEO features DullenMIKE, the youngest ever FUT Champions Cup winner, who topped the regional rankings last season and proved he is one of the best. Hensoo has been among Europe's elite for years, most recently proving it by winning the first DFB ePokal last season. Just like DullenMIKE, Hensoo is part of Germany’s national team and together they will demonstrate their skills at the Team of the Season Cup and in the upcoming competitive season.

      • Felipe |5| and Rampazzo
      • SPQR has been a dominating force in the South American Region since its foundation, with Felipe notching a Qualifier and Playoff win and Rampazzo earning a spot in the South American Playoffs in the FIFA 21 Season.  This South American duo looks to rise to the top come January.
    • Team Falcons
      • Msdossary and NightWatch
      • FIFAe 2019 World Cup champion, multiple FUT Champions Cup and qualifier champion, and fan-favorite Msdossary teams with underground sensation (and eChampions League finalist) NightWatch in one of the most intriguing teams that we will see perform at Team of the Season Cup.
    • Team FUTWIZ
      • Jamodo and Marko
      • Team FUTWIZ’s two competitors are no stranger to the international scene, having competed across the world since FIFA 17, with Marko earning a spot in FeWC during that time.  Will these long-term teammates be able to put together a run to the top of Team of the Season Cup?
    • Team Heretics
      • Matias and H1dalgo
      • Matias won three qualifiers and the eLibertadores in South America during the FIFA 21 Season and FIFA 22 will be his first chance at international competition. Competing alongside eLa Liga 3rd place finisher H1dalgo, can Matias continue his red hot form?
    • TG.NIP
      • Levi de Weerd and Ollelito 
      • Team Gullit and Ninjas in Pajamas stars team up in a collaboration we didn’t think we needed until we saw it on paper.  Both competitors have a proven track record with wins in Majors, can they repeat their success together?

     

    What is FGS Masters?

    FGS Masters is a group of elite competitors and teams that are part of the FIFA 22 Global Series, by being selected by EA as FGS Masters team they earn a spot directly in the Team of the Season Cup. 

    Why did you create the FGS Masters Program? 

    To reward our top players for their previous performances and make sure fans could see their favorite players and teams in action at the Team of the Season Cup.

    How were FGS Masters Chosen?

    FGS Masters were chosen by application, with tournament performance, major wins and consistency being the three most important criteria we looked at for each pairing.

    Do the FGS Masters team get any benefits during the Team of the Season Cup?

    No, once the Team of the Season Cup Starts, all teams are on the same, level playing field.
