We’re committed to delivering the best possible experience to our fans and players across our upcoming FGS 23 Playoffs and ongoing tournaments with over 30+ league partners. With this in mind, we made the difficult decision to cancel the Midseason Major and focus on our upcoming competitions.
This FGS 23 Mid-Season Major cancellation will not impact other events in the program and we look forward to eChampions League, CONMEBOL eLibertadores, eLaLiga Santander, ePremier League, Virtual Bundesliga, and remaining competitions in the lead up to the FGS 23 Playoffs on The Road to the FIFAe World Cup 2023™.
The planned prize purse of USD $500,000 for the FGS 23 Mid-Season Major will be added to the competition as follows:
FGS23 Playoffs
Additional $120,000 for a total of $420,000
Qualifiers
Additional $280,000 for a total of $721,000 across all qualifiers.
FGS23 Leaderboard
Additional $100,000 to top qualifiers.
Following the conclusion of the second online FGS23 Qualifier, $100,000 will be allocated to 20 players who would have qualified for Mid-Season Major:
What about players who qualified for the event?
We made this announcement before player qualification to the event was completed, however the 20 players who would have qualified, based on leaderboard results after FGS Online Qualifier 2, will each receive $5,000 in prize money. All the prize money is being reallocated back to the competition pool.
What about the prize money?
All prize money is being paid out to players through the FGS23 Playoffs, FGS23 Online Qualifiers and FGS23 Leaderboard rankings after Online Qualifier 2.
