• FIFA 14 - Chile Cover Reveal

    Today, we are proud to announce that Juventus FC and Chilean International star Arturo Vidal will be featured on the cover of FIFA 14 when the game launches in Chile this September. The 26 year-old midfielder will join FC Barcelona’s Lionel Messi on the cover and also serve as an EA SPORTS Football Ambassador.

    Vidal has been a key player as both a member of Juventus and the Chilean National side. Last season, he scored 10 league goals for the club en-route to their second consecutive Serie A title. In international play, Chile is poised to reach next year’s FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

    This is the third cover reveal for FIFA 14. Last week, in addition to the unveiling of the FIFA 14 Global Cover, the Mexico & United States box art featuring Mexico’s Javier “Chicharito“ Hernández was also revealed. We will have additional announcements for other regions in the coming days and weeks, so stay tuned.

    ARTURO VIDAL SIGNS WITH EA SPORTS

    Chilean National Team star will appear next to Lionel Messi on the cover of FIFA 14, launching September 24

    Santiago, Chile – July 6, 2013 – Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: EA) today announced that EA SPORTS™ has signed one of the most popular Chilean National Team players to appear, for the first time ever, on the regional cover of FIFA 14. Arturo Vidal will appear on the cover alongside the world’s top footballer, Barcelona and Argentina superstar Lionel Messi.

    “El Rey Arturo” possesses innate talent and speed with the ball, and is acclaimed by fans for his excellent performances with Sampaoli’s National Team on the road to 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™. In Chile’s most recent qualifying match against Bolivia, Vidal sealed the win by scoring the third goal in a 3-1 victory, leaving Chile in a solid qualifying position. Vidal is 26 years old and was instrumental in securing the Serie A Scudetto with his club side, Juventus.

Vidal will appear on the cover of FIFA 14 on the Xbox 360® games and entertainment system with Kinect™ from Microsoft, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system with PlayStation Move support, Windows® PC, Nintendo Wii™, Nintendo 3DS™, PlayStation®Vita handheld entertainment system, PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system, and PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) system when the game launches on September 24.
