Each week FIFA Ultimate Team assembles the best players from international and club competition around the world and rewards them as part of our Team of the Week. Now, we celebrate the best players from club competition based on their performances during the course of the 2013-14 season.
This edition features the best players from France’s Ligue 1.
Our Ligue 1 Team of the Season features five players from champions Paris Saint Germain, including fan favorite Zlatan Ibrahimović. Although he couldn’t match the 30 goal output of last season, he still managed to dominate the scoring table, scoring 25 goals in 32 matches played.
In their first season back in Ligue 1, AS Monaco finished the season in second place and stayed in the title hunt for most of the campaign. The team saw a lot of output from a number of players including James Rodríguez and Layvin Kurzawa. In 34 matches played, Rodríguez managed to score nine goals and earn 12 assists. As for Kurzawa, he made quite the impact from the left back position with five goals and three assists.
LOSC Lille are poised to qualify for a place in Europe if they manage to avoid defeat in their last match of the season. Their improvement over last season can be attributed to the incredible goalkeeping of Vincent Enyeama and the defense of Marko Baša and Simon Kjær. Enyeama has played in every match this season and managed to earn 21 clean sheets in the process.
