Donovan “F2Tekkz” Hunt has quickly established himself as the most dominant FIFA 19 player on the planet. After announcing his arrival onto the pro scene by winning the FUT Champions Cup Barcelona during FIFA 18 Global Series, the then-sixteen-year old was unable to replicate the form that saw him lift the trophy early in the season.
Fast-forward to November 2018 and F2Tekkz once again started his competitive season with a bang by winning the first FUT Champions Cup of the FIFA 19 Global Series. After his victory in Bucharest back in November, F2Tekkz continued to add trophies to his now bulging cabinet. Victories at the PGL FIFA 19 Cup in December, the FIFA eClub World Cup in February, the ELEAGUE FUT Champions Cup in Atlanta, the PGL FUT Champions Cup March, the ePremier League and the PGL FIFA 19 Masters meant that F2Tekkz has collected an staggering seven trophies in the present campaign.
In addition to completing a now record-breaking season, this number of wins has seen Hunt firmly secure his spot as the number 1 ranked Xbox player in the world for almost 30 consecutive weeks. By now, F2Tekkz is a perennial favourite to win any event where he competes.
One of the biggest obstacles that F2Tekkz will face in his attempt to add an eighth trophy to his season will be the FIFA eWorld Cup reigning champion, Msdossary. The Saudi Arabian is currently ranked second and is considered by many as the best player in the world.
F2Tekkz and Msdossary have had some intense matches throughout the year and have traded wins over each other. Most recently, Msdossary beat F2Tekkz twice during the FUT Champions Cup April including the console final. The Saudi pro would then go on and win the event.
However, their feud was not limited to the virtual pitch. The two maestros also exchanged words back in April fueling to what is already considered the current hottest FIFA pro rivalry.
A new match-up at the FIFA Global Series Xbox One Playoffs between the two titans is a very real possibility, and it would be a great spectacle to behold.
