2024: Year in Review

Groundbreaking experiences, building connections, fostering community, and supporting our planet.

Dec 20, 2024

In 2024, EA continued to grow as a community-first entertainment company delivering experiences that pushed the bounds of playing video games. We built and delivered interactive entertainment that offered cutting-edge play, innovative ways to create, share, and watch content, and unprecedented connections with friends and family.

You could see our creativity and passion in Thedas with Dragon Age™: The Veilguard, on the pitch with EA SPORTS FC™ 25, on the gridiron with  EA SPORTS™ Madden NFL 25 and College Football 25, or skating with the pros in EA SPORTS NHL 25. The Sims™ 4 was the gift that kept on giving, Tales of Kenzera: ZAU brought us into brand-new worlds, and F1 24 delivered a premier racing experience.

None of this is possible without our incredible creators, innovators, and storytellers, who use leading-edge technology and are inspired to build groundbreaking experiences so that any player, anywhere, can spend time with some of their best, and sometimes brand new, friends. People like the indomitable Abubakar Salim who led the launch of ZAU. World Rally Championship driver Jon Armstrong, whose unique perspective is crafting WRC into the most authentic experience possible. And Corinne Busche who played a central role in crafting the expansive world of  Dragon Age: The Veilguard.

We continued creating a workplace where our people can do their best work. Building communities where our players feel welcome, safe, and included. Investing in future interactive innovators. And addressing our climate change impact. Leading the future of entertainment and helping foster lasting impact is a 24-7 endeavor—it is always on. And nothing highlights this better than our 2024 Impact Report.

All of this culminated with EA’s global community spending their time competing and connecting across our blockbuster sports and entertainment experiences. This includes:

  • Over 11 billion hours played across our games.1
  • Players uploaded over 3 million videos across 10 of EA’s top franchises.2
  • Nearly 2 billion hours have been spent watching videos of EA's games on social media.2
  • EA is unmatched with five of the top 25 HD experiences in the West. This includes EA SPORTS™ FC 25, EA SPORTS™ College Football 25, EA SPORTS™ Madden NFL 25, The Sims™ 4 and Apex Legends™ on the Xbox, PlayStation, PC, and Switch platforms.3
