What an incredible few days for Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo. On Saturday, he scored three goals as the club embarrassed Deportivo La Coruña 2:8 in the Galicia city. He continued the goal scoring on Tuesday, this time putting four past the keeper, including two from the penalty spot, as Real Madrid defeated Elche 5:1.
Staying in Spain, new acquired Ivan Rakitić scored his first goal for FC Barcelona, as they easily defeated Levante 0:5 on Sunday. The victory keeps the club in first place, two points ahead of Valencia and Sevilla FC.
On Sunday, Manchester City and Chelsea played out to a 1:1 draw. While most of the focus was on former Chelsea player, Frank Lampard scoring the equalizing goal against his old side, a lot of attention was paid to the fine play of James Milner. In addition to earning the assist in Lampard goal in the 85th minute, he played well in multiple roles after the hosts were reduced to 10-men in the 66th minute.
