FIFA Ultimate Team - Team of the Season - Serie A
Each week FIFA Ultimate Team assembles the best players from international and club competition around the world and rewards them as part of our Team of the Week. Now, we celebrate the best players from club competition based on their performances during the course of the 2013-14 season.
This edition features the best players from Italy’s Serie A.
Juventus locked up their third straight Serie A title and did so in commanding fashion. They had incredible performances from a handful of players including Giorgio Chiellini, Paul Pogba, Arturo Vidal and Carlos Tévez. In his first season in Turin, Tévez led the club with 19 league goals and seven assists.
AS Roma had an unbelievable turnaround in 2013-14, finishing in second place. Morgan De Sanctis was a huge part of that success, earning 21 clean sheets in 36 matches played. Defenders Medhi Benatia and Maicon, defensive-midfielder Daniele De Rossi and Winger Gervinho also attributed to the club’s improvement over their sixth place finish in 2012-13.
Those not familiar with the name of Ciro Immobile will need to change that after the breakout season he had with Torino. The 24 year old led Serie A with 22 goals in 33 matches played, which was more than enough to have him named to Italy’s provisional squad for this summer’s FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
