The time has finally come that Star Wars™: Galaxy of Heroes fans have been waiting for, the arrival of Commander Luke Skywalker!
Commander Luke Skywalker is the first character to have six abilities, three of which can be upgraded to powerful Zeta abilities! Commander Luke Skywalker's ability kit allows him to cleanse debuffs, ignore enemy taunts, and increase the power of his Rebel allies significantly. Additionally, Commander Luke Skywalker can transition between having 100% counter chance or 100% critical chance. Finally, whenever Commander Luke Skywalker gains a buff, he also gains stacking potency, health, protection, and turn meter. He is a powerful ally in any squad!
Commander Luke Skywalker is accessed through the Hero's Journey event as a Seven Star character. To unlock Commander Luke Skywalker, players are required to build a squad with a Seven Star Old Ben Kenobi, Princess Leia, Stormtrooper Han, Luke Skywalker (Farmboy), and R2-D2. In addition to adding Commander Luke Skywalker to the game, updates have been made for Old Ben Kenobi, Princess Leia, Stormtrooper Han, and Luke Skywalker (Farmboy).
In the Hero's Journey event, players will be immersed in Luke's progression from Farmboy to eventually becoming a Jedi. Take control of the pivotal light side characters and use all your cunning to lead them to victory over their many trials and challenges.
Here are closer looks at Commander Luke Skywalker's powerful abilities, as well as the recently updated characters from Star Wars™: A New Hope™ that are required to unlock him:
Commander Luke Skywalker
Commander Luke Skywalker is able to ignore taunts and deal consistent, critical hits to anyone on the enemy team. His leader ability turns your rebel squad into a menacing force that punishes enemies for daring to attack you.
Basic Ability: Destined Strike
Description: Deal Physical damage to target enemy and inflict Speed Down and Defense Down for 2 turns.
Special Ability 1: Use the Force
Description: Deal Physical damage to target enemy, Dispel all buffs on them, and inflict Tenacity Down for 2 turns. (Cooldown 4)
Special Ability 2: Call to Action
Description: Dispel all debuffs on Luke. Luke gains 100% Turn Meter and recovers 10-40% Health. If Luke doesn't have the Call to Action unique buff, he gains it until the next time this ability is used.
Call to Action: Luke ignores Taunts during his turn and has +50% Accuracy, +50% Critical Chance, and +50% Critical Damage. Can't be Dispelled or prevented. (Cooldown 4)
Leader Ability: Rebel Maneuvers
Description: Rebel allies have +30-50% Counter Chance, +30-50% Defense, and +5-25% Offense.
Unique Ability 1: Learn Control
Description: While Luke doesn't have Call to Action, he has +40-100% Counter Chance, +50% Defense, and gains 15% Turn Meter whenever another ally takes damage.
Unique Ability 2: It Binds All Things
Description: Luke has +10-40% Potency. Whenever Luke inflicts a debuff, he gains 10% Turn Meter and other allies gain half that amount.
Princess Leia
Princess Leia's kit has been updated to make her more reliable than ever, providing consistent damage throughout the match. Her sustain is much stronger now that she can heal every time she attacks.
Reworked Abilities:
Basic: Hair Trigger
Fully Upgraded Description: Deal Physical damage to target enemy with a 70% chance to attack a second time and a 55% chance to attack a third time. Each attack has a 50% chance to grant 10% Turn Meter.
Special 1: Rebel Tactics
Fully Upgraded Description: Leia gains Stealth and Critical Damage Up for 3 turns and gains 50% Turn Meter. If Leia already had Stealth, she also gains Offense Up and Foresight for 3 turns and gains double Turn Meter.
Unique: Against All Odds
Fully Upgraded Description: Whenever Leia attacks, she has a 55% chance to grant all allies Critical Chance Up for 2 turns, and recovers 5% Health and 5% Protection.
Old Ben Kenobi
Old Ben now has a taunt which provides a formidable wall of defense for all of your Rebel and Jedi squads.
Reworked Abilities:
Basic: Elegant Form
Fully Upgraded Description: Deal Physical damage to target enemy, inflict Evasion Down for 2 turns, then gain Potency Up for 2 turns. This attack can't be Evaded.
Special 1: Mind Tricks
Fully Upgraded Description: Inflict Ability Block on all enemies for 1 turn and Offense Down for 2 turns, with an 80% chance to remove 60% Turn Meter. Jedi and Rebel allies gain 3% Turn Meter for each effect Resisted. This attack can't be Evaded.
Unlocks at Tier VI
Special 2: Devoted Protector (NEW ABILITY)
Fully Upgraded Description: Old Ben gains Taunt for 2 turns. When this Taunt expires, Old Ben gains Taunt for 1 turn. All allies gain Defense Up for 2 turns.
Unlocks at Tier IV
Unique: If You Strike Me Down (REWORKED)
Fully Upgraded Description: Whenever another Jedi or Rebel ally takes damage, Old Ben gains 5% Turn Meter. The first time Old Ben is defeated, all allies gain Offense Up and Speed Up for 2 turns, recover 50% Health and 50% Protection, and gain 25% Turn Meter.
Stormtrooper Han
Stormtrooper Han continues to be a master at manipulating turn meter in battle. He'll slow down your enemies while speeding your squad up so you can crush your enemies swiftly.
Reworked Abilities:
Unique Ability: Bluff
Fully Upgraded Description: Han has a 25% chance to remove 30% Turn Meter from each enemy at the start of each of his turns. In addition, Han recovers 5% Protection and has a 25% chance to remove 15% Turn Meter from each enemy when he is damaged.
Luke Skywalker (Farmboy)
Luke Skywalker (Farmboy) now gains critical damage every time he takes a turn, evolving into a powerful attacker over time. He has strong critical hit synergy and works well in a variety of Rebel teams.
Reworked Abilities:
Basic: Frontier Marksmanship
Fully Upgraded Description: Deal Physical Damage to target enemy. If this attack scores a Critical Hit, gain 40% Turn Meter and inflict Damage Over Time for 3 turns.
Special 1: Bullseye
Fully Upgraded Description: Deal Physical damage to target enemy and inflict Defense Down and Speed Down for 2 turns. If this attack scores a Critical Hit, Stun the target for 1 turn. Dispel all buffs on target if it's not a Critical Hit.
Unlocks at Tier II
Leader: A New Hope
Fully Upgraded Description: All allies gain 50% Tenacity. Whenever an ally Resists a detrimental effect they gain Advantage for 2 turns.
Unlocks at Tier IV
Unique: Draw a Bead
Fully Upgraded Description: Luke has 25% Critical Chance. In addition, Luke gains 15% Critical Damage (stacking) at the start of each of his turns until the end of the encounter.
Han Solo
Han Solo has outstanding burst damage capable of killing weaker opponents before they have a chance to activate. His unique double hit offers a lot of control and bonus damage.
Reworked Abilities:
Basic: Quick Draw
Fully Upgraded Description: Deal Physical Damage to target enemy. If the target has less than 50% Turn Meter, deal 75% more damage. Otherwise, remove 35% Turn Meter. This attack can't be Evaded.
Special 1: Deadeye
Fully Upgraded Description: Deal Physical damage to target enemy and Stun them for 1 turn. Gain Turn Meter equal to Han's Critical Chance.
Unlocks at Tier II
Special 2: Never Tell Me The Odds
Fully Upgraded Description: All allies gain Critical Chance Up and Evasion Up for 2 turns. Han gains 50% Turn Meter and Critical Damage Up for 2 turns.
Unlocks at Tier IV
Unique: Shoots First
Fully Upgraded Description: Han has +35% Counter Chance and +20% Critical Chance. The first time each turn Han uses his Basic attack he attacks again dealing 50% less damage. Han takes a bonus turn at the start of each encounter. During this turn Han ignores Taunts and he can only use his Basic ability, but it will Stun the target for 1 turn and can't be Resisted.
