Madden NFL 24 Mobile - Point Attack Updates
Everything you need to know about the Point Attack Updates in Madden NFL 24 Mobile
Hello, Madden NFL Mobile Fans!
First and foremost, thank you all for playing Madden NFL 23 Mobile! We feel the excitement from you each year, and we know how passionate you are about the game.
In this edition of Gridiron Notes, we are going to discuss Point Attack and the improvements being made to the mode in Madden NFL 24 Mobile. We also will discuss some of the changes and updates still to come for Point Attack throughout the Madden NFL 24 Mobile season. Before we begin, one thing that hasn’t changed at this time is the Point Attack event schedule. The weekend cadence will remain the same at launch, but may be adjusted to be more frequent as seen fit.
Limited resumes
First and foremost is limited resumes. These limits were discussed during the Madden NFL 23 Mobile season and will make their way into our game at the launch of Madden NFL 24 Mobile. Putting a resume limit will prevent users from retaining progress of an active point attack after 3 exits of any kind. This includes force closes, crashes, and Save & Exit. Employing a limited amount of resumes should resolve inflated scores and offer more opportunities at leaderboard rewards!
Display
Point Attack received also a fresh coat of paint! The completion screen below shows some of the new iconography throughout the mode and illustrates newly formatted attempt feedback. On this pop-up, there will be a new logo and color for each type of PA, your current score, your best score historically, a play again button, and finally, a continue button. There is also a new look to the Point Attack tickets.
Leaderboards
Leaderboards will function similarly in Madden NFL 24 Mobile as they have during this season, with some updates. There will now be more visual feedback when tapping the milestone rewards button, as the current reward rank will be indicated.
You will also now be able to tap on fellow competitors on the leaderboard. This will prompt a pop-up detailing their team's total OVR, as well as their OFF, DEF, and ST avg OVR. A SCOUT option will also be available. Tapping the SCOUT button on any competitor on the leaderboard will bring up the Scout Screen, which will function as normal.
Play Calling
Play calling was also adjusted in Point Attack. In Madden NFL 23 Mobile, the event currently is randomly pulling a play from a small number of the total plays available in the event. In Madden NFL 24 Mobile, all plays of an event will now be considered. If the event has 8 total plays available, all 8 plays will be eligible to be selected - not just some of them. The only time a play is not shown is if the play was just selected, as there will no longer be the same play back-to-back. Finally, the game will randomly choose between normal and flipped versions of selected plays. Depending on if the play is flipped or not, when tapping the play call button to select another play, all plays will display in the direction of the currently selected play.
Things to come
As discussed throughout the Madden NFL 23 Mobile season, Point Attack will be updated consistently during Madden NFL 24 Mobile season and continue to be innovated and improved on. A field goal version of Point Attack is close to completion and should be available after launch. There are also more variations of Point Attack on the way.
