Motive is Growing | Update from Patrick Klaus, GM
Read time: 3 mins | With two huge projects in development, Motive is hiring more than 100 new developers. Could you be one of them?
Hi everyone,
As summer begins to wind down, I wanted to take a moment to discuss our projects here at Motive, where we are now, and where we’re heading.
I’ll start by saying that we’re in a really good place. Despite a turbulent and challenging period for the games industry, we’ve maintained our momentum, stability, and growth. And now, the solid foundation our teams have worked so hard to build has given us the opportunity to grow even more. We’re hiring 100 new developers to join our Iron Man and Battlefield projects over the next year, which means we’ll be significantly increasing our presence in Montreal and further cementing this wonderful city as one of the best places in the world for AAA game development.
And there’s never been a better time to join us here, as we work simultaneously on two very big yet very different games. We’re developing on two different engines: Unreal Engine and Frostbite. We’re working in two distinct genres: action-adventure and first-person shooter. We’re building an iconic, story-driven, single-player experience for Iron Man while expanding the Battlefield universe with single-player and multiplayer experiences as part of the talented Battlefield team. We’re working with the best of licensed IP with Marvel and the best of wholly-owned EA IP in Battlefield. It is such an honor and a privilege! We’ll do our very best to deliver unique experiences for players around the world.
To do that, we’ll be hiring across all areas of game development over the coming year. We’re looking for great human beings who are experienced, skilled, passionate, and curious, with a team mindset and a desire to keep improving and create legacy-defining games. So, if you’re ready to do the best work of your career, please look at our Careers page! And if you don’t see a role that’s a great fit today, keep checking back; we’ll be adding lots more in the coming year.
I’ve never felt luckier to be the General Manager of Motive Studio than I do today. Join us as we build our bright future.
Patrick
