Introducing ‘Blitz Champions’ – a brand new game mode

Tuesdays are abuzz with excitement and competitive spirit as the weekly leaderboard resets, giving everyone a chance to make a new high score. Blitzers get on a matching spree with the best Rare Gems and Boosts for a chance to beat their friends. Some of you love to poke or rival your friends too.

For those of you who love to compete globally, there’s Gem Masters to keep you going through the rest of the week. And for those who love to exercise skill, Gem Explorers and Gem Explorers Pro are a constant source of cascading satisfaction.

What if we gave you something more? Maybe a combination of all the above features! An adrenaline-pumping matching arena that demands expert skills with the promise of challenging leaderboards and rocking rewards. Introducing ‘Blitz Champions!’

What is Blitz Champions?

It's a new game mode that offers exciting Contests and rewards. Each Contest has a rule-set based on Rare Gems, Boosts combinations, number of colored gems, time etc. A simple example - play with any 1 Boost and gems of 5 colors. Or play with a particular Rare Gem in a 45-second game. Not only does this help test our skills but also enables us to compete with players from across the world. Bigger leaderboards, challenging rules and triumphant victories await you here!

How does Blitz Champions work?

You will notice an icon with a crown on your main screen. Tap on this icon to find a list of various Contests. Each Contest will have a few rule-sets and rewards. The Contests will also vary based on their occurrence (daily, weekly, weekend, rare etc.). You can enter a Contest by tapping on ‘join’. Play according to the rule-sets and get featured on the respective leaderboard. If you’re on the top of the list, you win exciting rewards too.

When do I get to play Blitz Champions?

The feature releases this month for mobile players. It will be released for Facebook players a little later.

Will it affect the rest of the game?

No. The rest of the game remains the same, your favorite Bejeweled Blitz at heart! The weekly leaderboard will be just as before. And so will Daily Challenge, Gem Explorers and Gem Explorers Pro. Note: Gem Masters will become a part of Blitz Champions and it will not be available in the Events section anymore.
