The CONMEBOL eLibertadores 24, EA SPORTS FC Pro's most important tournament in South America, is set to get back underway this month after last year’s first stage of online qualifiers.
A star-studded EA SPORTS FC Pro field will battle it out for the title of continental champion, with the 2024 winner set to be crowned during March’s grand finale.
The victor will join an illustrious list of previous CONMEBOL eLibertadores champions, which includes Baxada, PHzin, Resende and Bonanno.
Format
Following two rounds of qualifiers, qualifying players will advance to the CONMEBOL eLibertadores 24 Finals in March 2024, where they will compete for a prize pool of over $100,000 USD and two seats in the first-ever EA Sports FC Pro World Championship in June 2024.
History will also be made, as the Finals will represent the first EA Competitive Gaming event to be held in Brazil.
The CONMEBOL eLibertadores is a top-tier EA SPORTS FC Pro event providing both competitors and fans with unique ways to connect with the Eternal Glory through EA SPORTS FC 24.
The competition first got underway in December of last year, but below you can find a breakdown of what is to come over the next few months.
Schedule
Qualifier Phase I
The first phase of the online qualifier took place on December 9th and 10th, and consisted of a single-elimination bracket which qualifies the top 64 players to Phase II of the competition.
Competitors who qualified for the FC Pro Open Regional Qualifiers were not eligible to participate in this first qualifying phase.
Qualifier Phase II
The second round of online qualifiers will occur on February 10th and 11th, and will start with a Swiss format group stage with the top-finishing players from Qualifier Phase I joining the Top 256 in the region from October’s FC Pro Open Ladder.
In addition, players who have a contract with a South American football club affiliated with CONMEBOL Federation Members are also able to enter at this stage.
The phase will then move onto a double-elimination knockout bracket until the top 16 players are determined.
Finals
The CONMEBOL eLibertadores 24 season concludes in March (16th-17th), as the 16 players who have qualified from Qualifier Phase II advance to the finals - with the grand finale being held in-person and broadcast live on Twitch and YouTube.
On March 17th, the 2024 CONMEBOL eLibertadores champion will officially be crowned.
