Alejandro Hidalgo - commonly known as H1dalgo - signed for Somah Esports in early November having previously represented Team Heretics. Joining Somah made him the first Spanish EA FC player to sign for a Saudi Arabian team.

Now 21, he started playing FIFA when he was eight years old, and he turned that hobby into a profession having originally hoped to be a professional footballer.

His first big title came during the 2021 eCOPA RFEF, in which he won a goal fest of a final 9-5 against Adriman.

In FIFA 22, H1dalgo won the Team of the Season Cup alongside Bonanno and Edu for Team Heretics. They had recorded three consecutive 3-2 victories in the knockout games before defeating Mkers 2-0 and then overcoming Dire Wolves 4-1 in the grand final.

Teaming up with Bonanno again - this time for Real Betis - he made the final of the 2v2 eLa Liga 2023, but they were defeated 5-3 by Atletico Madrid pair Andonii and tuga810.

H1dalgo has enjoyed a positive start in EA SPORTS FC 24, making it through the FC Pro Open Global Qualifier using the 4-2-2-2 formation.

He started the Swiss Stage with wins over AgitPower and ValenMz before suffering back-to-back losses against Leks and Julien. The Spaniard recovered to beat Julien and reach the knockouts.

Once there, he got the better of Leks when they faced off again before losing to Fouma, setting up a deciding contest with Ollelito. The Spaniard won in the most dramatic fashion possible, capitalising on a mistake from Virgil van Dijk to score in the 117th minute and make the score 8-7.

There were plenty of encouraging signs for H1dalgo at the FC Pro Open, as he finished third in Group A to earn his place in next year's competition.
